Sienna Miller is on the cover of September Vogue, its biggest issue ever. Apparently editor in chief Anna Wintour is a huge fan of the British actress — Miller also appeared on the magazine's January 2006 cover.

Also from wwd last week:

but guess not...

frankly, though i don't dislike sienna, i'm a little tired of her, to the point of virtual indifference. september is such an important issue! i just wish anna and company had been a little more innovative. oh well...

I really don't mind her, I think there could be worse choices that are either obnoxious or just plain boring and Sienna seems about ok for me, I've never followed her career (in case she has one) or seen her in interviews to have an opinion on her personality.. and her style is completely irrelevant to me.. and she's pretty, so I'm not bothered at all, I don't care actually.. I just want to flip through the ads and buy the issue already.

I agree with Mullet as well! I have seen Sienna in interviews and she seems like she has a lovely personality, so regardless of her acting "career" of lack thereof, as a fashion icon, she's a good pick for a September cover.

Uhmmmmm.......no. Argh, they've probalby made her look boring posing in some boring clothes and autumnal colours + plastered 1,000 lines of text in the cover ("Biggest Issue Ever!") followed by the 727 ad pages and in the end, Trentini jumping up and down & other rather boring editorials with US Vogue girls & photogs... And the usual things. But you know, this is US Vogue and that's the way it works but I hope the cover & insides turn out alright.

I know Wintour's really for british celebrities, but it seems to be Sienna and Keira a little too much lately. Maybe she thinks that the ubiquity will propel British fashion in some way, but I think its on the verge of firing backwards, dumping Vogue in hot water!
