Veronica Mars

^agree with everything you said. Especially like that "LoVe" combo, thats so cute

"Veronica Mars is not shooting this year's season finale as a series finale. So we will all be screwed if our favorite show is cancelled I guess. Creator Rob Thomas says there is a 60/40 chance of the CW show returning next year, "in our favor" he claims."

there has to be another season!

Come on they have to do another! Especially if they're not going to shoot a serie's finale, which will just leave us hanging.

unfortunately the show will be on hiatus now because of that new pussycat doll show :(

I can NOT believe that they would push VM back for finding a new untalented Pussycat Doll!!! I didnt see tonights episode yet but I am dying to. Its just too late to watch it now.

VM is facing some problems catching new viewers because they make it kind of hard to understand some things. I try to put myself in the position of a new viewer and it makes sense. If Veronica Mars continues to have ONE huge storyline arc every season if a new viewer tunes in mid-season they have no idea what is going on. They have tried to catch viewers by often having episode long stories that get solved..well by the end of the episode.

This year they were having talks of having like 2 or 3 mini arcs each season in order to capture new viewers but they haven't really stuck to it. They keep going back to the same thing. Who shot Dean O'Dell. As a long time viewer of the show I perfer the one arc per season but I do see how much it could frustrate someone trying to get into the show.

I don't see the problem with having one huge mystery that spans the entire season and then a few smaller ones that span a few episodes (such as who shot the basketball coach). I really hope that this isn't the end of Veronica Mars because I really really love the show. And I won't be able to stand it if they end the show without Veronica and Logan together.

however, if they don't choose to renew VM and the season finale is shot as that and not a series finale it makes me look forward to a Veronica Mars movie. I loved seeing Kristen Bell on the big screen!

Okay...reading all these threads make me realize I'm a huge TV wh*re!

^ After the PCD show, there are going to be 5 stand alone episodes in an effort to cut some of the confusion :)

OMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The day we’ve all dreaded has come, tubers.

With actual tears in my eyes, I must tell you that I’ve heard from several solid sources that the CW has decided not to bring Veronica Mars back for a fourth season.

Though official word has not yet come down from the network, I did hear from creator Rob Thomas earlier this week, who told me things weren’t looking good: “I’ve never been less certain of our fate. I’m afraid I’ve gone from cautiously optimistic to something less than that.”

More on this later. I’m just too distraught to write more right now.

That image isn't working but I am so hoping that this is a huge mistake!

Veronica Mars is such a great show. Too bad more people don't watch it. I had friends who started to like it after watching just one episode. :woot: :ermm:

You may have seen my earlier report that Veronica Mars has been canceled.

Well, let me just say that though I heard this heart-wrenching info in a definitive fashion from six--yes, six--reliable sources on both the network and studio side...that news may have been somewhat misguided. Although this "cancellation" rumor ran rampant around all sectors of Hollywood today, it turns out the picture is more complex than a straight canceled-or-not-canceled scenario.

At this hour, here's what I can tell you:

I just heard from Veronica mastermind and showrunner Rob Thomas, who tells me, "If we're cancelled, I certainly don't know about it."

Though Rob did not say anything further, inside sources at the CW have explained to me a more detailed version of the situation:

According to network insiders, the CW has not officially canceled Veronica Mars. However, they are currently considering a different format for the fourth season. That format would leap four years into the future and focus on Veronica Mars as an FBI agent. The rest of the cast, aside from Kristen Bell, is yet to be determined.

So bottom line: Veronica Mars could be: 1) spinning off into a new format, 2) returning in her college years or 3) getting canceled.

And let me just say, number 3 could be a very real possibility, so it is time to rally the troops before it's too late! If you care about Veronica Mars and want it to survive, please comment below with your name and message of support. (I will forward to the powers that be at the CW.) Okay that makes me feel slightly better. I'd love to see Veronica working for the FBI but would they keep the same witty dialouge? And please tell me she'll be married to Logan! :)

the FBI scenario is interesting but i think they should keep her in school. the way she interacts with other students really makes the show interesting and somewhat relatable. of course she will be married to logan ;) :)

"Veronica" toys with time warp

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Veronica Mars might be looking at a quick graduation from Hearst College.

The fate of the CW's cult favorite remains uncertain, but if the show returns for a fourth season in the fall, it might find the young sleuth in a different setting.

"Veronica Mars" creator
Rob Thomas has come up with an idea to fast-forward a couple of years and have Mars studying at the
FBI Academy. (As a freshman at Hearst College,
Kristen Bell's title character has been taking criminology classes looking to do an internship at the FBI.)

Thomas is filming a trailer for an alternative fourth season, which will be submitted to the CW. The network's executives ultimately will decide whether to pick up the series for another season and, if they do, whether to stick to the drama's current plot line or go with the new version. If Mars goes to the FBI Academy next season, it will be a third backdrop for the character, who began her P.I. adventures while in high school.

URGH! I'm conflicted. The FBI thing sounds interesting, but I don't want to lose Wallace or Logan :(

But I WILL be emailing the CW!

Wallace? Wallace has barely been on this season!!! I'm gonna miss Logan unless they manage to throw them together within the next few episodes. I'm a huge huge huge fan of Logan and Veronica!

I noticed the lack of Wallace in this season too! He's Veronica's best friend, he should be a bigger part of the show. If they do go the new route with Veronica being a FBI intern they should keep Wallace, Logan, and Mac in the show. Of course new characters are welcome, but you have to keep the old ones so the show has a similar feeling to the previous seasons

^Exactly! Wallace has been in maybe half the episodes this season, sometimes only 1 or 2 scenes. I was so excited when Mac became a regular, but it's been the same with her. Some of the best scenes Veronica has are with them, yes, I adore the sarcastic Veronica, but I also like seeing her with her pals. :)
