Thanks...again :D

I don't even try to think about the series finale,
especially since I'm a couple of episodes behind.
The season started a little later here.

And if I can track down an address, I'll be sure to let you know.

the season finale was good but the other 2 finals were much more climatic

Exclusive: Veronica Mars Creator Mulls Feature Film!

If there's one thing we can all agree on about last night's Veronica Mars "season" finale, it's this: There's no way in hell that was the end of the story.

So, naturally, the first thing I did this AM was e-mail Mars creator Rob Thomas and ask: "Will will ever find out how you would've ended the show?"

His piddle-worthy response?

"I'm not entirely sure how/when VM would've ended, but I wouldn't discount my taking a stab at a feature script."

Yeah, you read that right. Veronica Mars on the frakkin' big screen!

Rob then added, "But I'm not sure if I could sell a movie based on a little-watched TV series."

Um, I've got one word for you, and it begins with "F" and ends with "Y." I'm talking about Firefly! If a show with barely one season under its belt can get the multiplex treatment — and turn a (small) profit — one can only imagine what VM would be capable of!

Are you with me? Are you? 'Cause you're either with me or against me. If you're with me, cast your vote for a VM feature film in the comments section below. We can make this happen, people!

image from 3rd season box set. no release date. Last night's finale was amazing. I hate the CW

i hate the CW too! they renewed crappy shows, but wont renew a great show like Veronica Mars.

Oh and i like the cover

Wow, the finale was f*cking amazing! It was so old-school VM, the best episode in ages. Damn you CW! I will be writing an angry letter. That was too good to cancel.

And ack, how hot was Logan? I want a guy to beat people up for me :p

i noticed it was more old school veronica too, and it was such a better episode because of it

I liked the fact that there wasn't really a cliffhanger, but it still left a lot of possible storylines, just in case they had gotten renewed. It was an amazing episode. :flower: :woot:

if anyone feels like writing an angry letter to the CW here is the address thanks to DosViolines

^haha thanks for the address, I might be writting a letter this summer, too!:innocent:

I wish I had found this thread earlier! But, I was SOOO ticked when I found out VM was ending!!! Its such a great show, and after that great finale, I was even sadder to see it end! I feel like there wasn't enough closure, but I think thats how it is whenever one of your favorite shows ends. You are so involved in their lives that you can't wait to see what happens to them next!

I think the CW is going to have a hard time next year, they lost VM, 7th Heaven AND Gilmore Girls! The only popular show they have now is ANTM... I hope the network goes bankrupt now because of their stupid decision.

I think I shall send a very strongly worded letter to little Miss Dawn. So there. lol

A Veronica Mars movie would be heaven, but I just want my weekly V-fix back dammit!

castingcrowns loved the little devil icon. CW is stupid. there "freshman" year didnt go as well as hoped, so why they would get rid of some shows that are sure to bring in viewers. that network is going down the drain.

and tinuviel, agree with you that a movie would be great but its great to have the once weekly show

larger picture of the rumored cover

No release date as of yet, but I thought this info was pretty interesting:

Veronica Mars - The Complete 3rd Season DVD set will have an extra on it that was meant to provide for the continuation of the show, before it got cancelled.

The plan for a possible 4th season/revamp/spin-off (whatever you want to call it)? Put Veronica in the FBI. Apparently this is a concept trailer, running around 6 minutes we're told, that the producers put together for The CW, to get them interested enough in keeping the show around. No dice; the execs at The CW didn't bite, the program was axed, and now the producers are toying with big-screen ideas instead. But rumor is the "FBI" trailer will make it on to the 3rd season set as an extra, so we'll all get to check it out.

DETROIT - Kristen Bell is finding it tough to let go of Veronica Mars, the wisecracking teenage TV sleuth she portrayed for three seasons.

Asked what she would miss most about the character, Bell didn’t hesitate: “Other than everything?”

“It feels sort of like graduating high school. You really only recognize how special it was once it’s gone away,” Bell told The Associated Press in a recent phone interview.

“And of course everyone graduates from different jobs then they move on, but I don’t know I’ll find as special a show ever again,” the 26-year-old actress said. “I think I’m only truly realizing that now.”

The show, which was ratings challenged but a cult hit, was canceled May 17. Bell, though, hasn’t given up all hope just yet.

The network, she said, has until June 15 to tell the show’s producers whether it might be brought back as a midseason replacement.

CW spokesman Jeff Tobler confirmed the June 15 deadline.

Even if “Veronica Mars” doesn’t make it back onto the small screen, Bell says she would be happy to reprise her role in a feature film.

“I’m game. I would work for (‘Veronica’ creator) Rob Thomas again in a heartbeat,” she said. “Not just because of his brilliance, but because he’s a great guy.”

Critics loved “Veronica Mars” from the get-go, praising Bell’s whipsmart heroine, the show’s take on high-school politics and the portrayal of Veronica’s relationship with her father (Enrico Colantoni).

Set in the fictional seaside town of Neptune, Calif., Bell’s character tackled the ups and downs of high-school life while solving crimes. The just-completed third season shifted Veronica and her pals to nearby Hearst College. She still solved crimes and battled authority, but the ratings woes continued.

While Bell’s old show doesn’t have a place in the fall, her new one does.

She’s providing the voice of the narrator (something she also did on “Veronica”) for the CW’s new “Gossip Girl.” The show centers on a group of prep-school teenagers in Manhattan.

Meanwhile, Bell is in Hawaii filming “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” a comedy produced by Judd Apatow (“The 40 Year-Old Virgin,” “Knocked Up”). She plays the title character.

The actress says she is enjoying the adult humor and improvisational nature of an Apatow production.

“It’s not that cliched romantic comedy where boy meets girl,” she said. “Nothing is really cliched in this movie. It’s all very real.”

I wish some other network would pick VM up. Maybe USA, or ABC Family? Aghh.. I'm not ready to let go!
