Veronica Mars

I'm really not feeling Piz or Parker this season. I don't think we need new friends :)

I love the original Veronica, Wallace, and Wevil. I don't mind having Mac because Veronica was probably desperate for a female friend...maybe Mac can get a job in the FBI too :) I know its wishful thinking but we need a reason for having her on the show. I mean shes a computer nerd right? Ever division of the US government needs computer nerds.

As for how to keep Wallace, I have no idea. But Logan makes a great supportive boyfriend/husband!

boyfriend/husband! hahaha love it. I think Piz is an ok friend except for the fact that it is so obvious that he likes veronica. I am not fond of Parker. Her character seems to be all over the place emotionally. First she was a very bubbly oh Colin Farrell person who slept with a new guy everynight. Then she was raped and became cold towards everyone and became antisocial. Now she is fine with hanging out with people and is somewhat normal. Just dont think the transitions of her personalities make sense

I don't think the show would work without Logan or Keith. They're such a big part of her life that it wouldn't really makes sense for them to go forward 4 years and not to have them there. Wallace as well, he's Veronica's best friend and they're so cute in their scenes together. I agree about Mac getting a job at the FBI. How can you not like Mac? :)

I like Piz, but I'm not sure what they could do with his character, unless he and Veronica hook up somehow. Same with Parker. What I could see happening if they go forward 4 years is Veronica in the FBI dating Piz, while Logan is with Parker, yet they're still in love with eachother, because everyone knows they would be.

^^^ Oh go to along with Jssy4eva's storyline... this is what would happen if I was the writer (are you listening Rob?)

Veronica and Piz are dating and Parker and Logan are dating. Everyone obviously knows that Logan and Veronica are madly in love but they can't say anything because they are both far too prideful. Veronica goes off to somewhere because she has to solve some case for the FBI and she gets herself in a heap of trouble but somehow Logan is able to find her. He saves her life and they make their get away and find a safe house and make love and decide to go somewhere and get married. :) I'm talking cheesy Las Vegas wedding. The end! Oh and then Parker and Piz get married and everyone is happy.

WATCH WITH KRISTEN

Friday, 12:08 p.m.: The CW rep for Veronica Mars tells me: "The show
has not been canceled. A decision will be made at the Upfront on May
17."

Sources tell me that the show is most likely to come back in its new
FBI format (described below) or not return at all.

Friday, 9:22 a.m.: After speaking with very reliable sources this
morning, I can tell you the following about Veronica Mars:

1. Creator Rob Thomas is shooting a five- to six-minute featurette of a
new version of Veronica Mars, which is one of three options the CW is
considering for next season (cancellation, renewal or new format).

2. This new Veronica version takes place four years in the future,
and features Veronica as a full-fledged FBI agent.
(This morning's
Hollywood Reporter incorrectly reports that in the new featurette,
Veronica is still in the FBI Academy.)

3. Kristen Bell is the only castmember who is part of this "FBI
years" trailer/featurette.
It is not yet known which other castmembers
would come on board if the CW chooses this option. Veronica's current
cast and crew were informed of the featurette yesterday (hence, the
widespread panic and cancellation rumors running rampant—and my panic
attack).
ONTD

yay that tonight was a new episode! i had mixed feelings about it till the end. mainly because the veronica logan situation. i felt so bad for veronica. i mean that is really hard to see your ex boyfriend date one of your friends. but then the piz scene happened! i really hope they date. i have decided that they would be a really adorable couple

i still am upset that they choose Parker as Logan's new girlfriend. Parker was such a ditz in the beginning of the season, now she is cool? transformations like that do not happen in a matter of weeks. come on producers, be consistent

THERE IS HOPE :)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Glimmer of Hope" for Veronica Mars
This is why I always tell you people that it ain't over till it's over: According to my CW moles, bless their hairy little hearts, the odds of Veronica Mars being renewed just went from "so-so" to "pretty good." Suddenly, per my spy, "There's a glimmer of hope." Here's why:

• Since Gilmore Girls is packing it in, the network suddenly has an extra hour of prime real estate available. What are they gonna do, renew 7th Heaven again? (That was a joke, CW. Don't get any ideas.)

• CW prez Dawn Ostroff is said to have responded very favorably to the trailer that series creator Rob Thomas shot for a potential reworking of the show with VM as an FBI agent (think Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs, only with way better hair and funnier dialogue). What's more, sources whisper to me that on the strength of that presentation, Thomas and Co. have been asked for more deets of the proposed revamp.

• Big changes are afoot — starting at the very top. "They've talked about a title change," says my spy. (Hey, if the quality remains the same, they can call it Veronica Mars Presents: The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll for all I — and I suspect all of us V fans — care.) Furthermore, there would likely be a major cast shake-up, with Bell the only guaranteed carryover.

So what do you think, people? Isn't VM worth saving, even if it means we'll have to flash-forward through her remaining college years? (There are only so many keggers a girl can go to, anyway.) And what about new titles? Do we really want to leave that up to the suits that eighty-sixed Everwood? Methinks now might be a good time to start offering up suggestions.

So Sheriff Lamb is definitely dead? I keep expecting him to pop up somewhere.

hmmm....I wonder if they plan on bringing back Logan? He has such a HUGE fanbase. Same with Keith. I  Wallace and Mac as well... AHHHH!!!

Well, a different Veronica Mars is better than the show being cancelled. :ermm:

I dunno. You can't get rid of Daddy Mars and Logan! I would be sad and I don't know if I could watch an all-new non-Veronica Mars Veronica Mars. I mean, how weird would that be?

Anyways, what about last night's episode? I'm SO sick of them messing with Veronica and Logan! Either break them up or get them back together. I'm sick of it changing every episode.

i think they miss each other but i think there is a slim chance of them getting back together, even though i hope they do.

i liked last nights episode. i loved paul rudd's guest role, he can sing :) i like how there was more wallace in the episode. oh and the surprise that Vinny was going to run for sheriff was great!

Veronica Mars is not on the CW Fall Schedule but not Cancelled
From TV Guide's Ausiello Report: The roller-coaster ride continues...

I'm hearing the schedule that the CW will present to advertisers on Thursday morning does not include Veronica Mars in any form: college, FBI or otherwise.

That doesn't, however, mean the show is dead. One rumor making the rounds is that Dawn Ostroff is delaying a decision until after the upfront. I don't know how much longer I can take this!

Also: TV Guide reports that "Girlfriends" and "The Game" have been renewed. "All of Us" is cancelled. The CW picked up "Everybody Hates Chris" for a third season earlier this spring. Source

UPDATE: Variety is reported the following: "It's looking like the sun is going down on Veronica Mars. And while nothing's official, people familiar with the situation said Mars was, indeed, canceled." Source

UPDATE:
The Hollywood Reporter is also indicating that Mars "won't be coming back". Source

I guess we'll see what happens at the CW Upfronts (Thursday, May 17th at 10:30 AM EST).

The CW cancels `Veronica Mars'

By DAVID BAUDER, AP Television Writer

NEW YORK - The CW network canceled the cult hit "Veronica Mars" and will try to pick up steam in its second year with series about the snobby rich, transplanted families and a bounty hunter for the devil.
The network, created out of the ashes of the former WB and UPN, had already ended the long-running family dramas "7th Heaven" and "Gilmore Girls." On Thursday the ax fell on "Veronica Mars," which starred Kristen Bell as a wisecracking teenage private eye.
Corporate parents CBS Corp. and Time Warner Inc. had hoped the CW could become a fifth major network by combining the best of its predecessors, but it has often slipped behind Univision in the ratings during a disappointing first year.

:o:cry:

^first of all love your avatar :)
secondly i am pissed too. they canceled gilmore girls so i thought VM would have a better chance at getting renewed. this really sucks because i dont know if this season finale will be good enough for a series finale

Urgh. What happened to the FBI spinoff? I was hearing just yesterday that it's chances looked good.

^first of all love your avatar :)

Thanks, but now I've switched to a LoVe one.
It's my way of paying respect

I feel like I need to write those CW execs an angry letter.
It won't accomplish much, but at least I can say that I gave it a try :(
