Visible Bras

Showing the back of your average everyday bra with a backless dress just looks tacky, and as though someone couldnt be bothered to make the effort.

Sorry but Jessica Simpson is annoying to me, and the only reason why Carrie could do it is because anything goes in SATC.

It's just downright tacky. It makes a woman look trashy. If a woman wants to appear sexy, sure show as much skin as you want, but she should be dressed in such a way that says, you can look but I may not let you touch. She should seem playful at all times but not necessarily look like she's ready to jump your bones.

Over all, I guess I am trying to say, LADIES DON'T DO IT!

im going to disagree with you all on this
i love the showing of the bra threw clothes , im not talking your old off white laundry day bra here.

i like the look esp i its a beautiful colour or has lace or some other embelish ment , its a shame to keep them covered fo the world and i dont mean have your knockers out on show but a hit either at the back or at the front can be very stylish (imo of course)

i also love the black bra under white shirt look aswell much to my mothers disgust lol

I think that wearing the lacey or black bra under a white or sheer or light colored shirt is nice , but not the whole visible strap on a backless or swooping dress/gown.

I saw an ad for these in a Hong Kong magazine but don't have it anymore.

The bras are crisscrossed on the back and sides. They don't at all look like regular bras and are meant to be seen. They were worn with drapey backless dresses in the ad.

I don't love it, but I don't hate it. I find it quite funny, really, that my mom detests the looks. Not that I personally wear it, but I told her it was sort of a trend now and she just cringed. Course, she is my mother...

I hate the visible bra look so much, that if I wear something sleevless (that shows my upper arms or even a little bit of the shoulders) i have those things(that I've forgotten, even though I love 'em!) that hold your bra straps together across your shoulder blades so that the shoulder straps do not become visible at ALL. I love those things so much. It might sound weird but I just hate the look. I remember New Woman magazine had an article fashion rules you should never believe and one was always hide your bra straps. They were saying that you don't have to do this and used some picture of J-Lo as an example and I just couldn't beleive how awful it looked and the fact that they were cruel enough to actually ENCOURAGE people to do that!........Phew...

What I really don't understand form this 'trend': why?
It doesn't do anything for the outfits pictured in this thread, it doesn't makes them look exciting, more beautiful or anything. It just looks as.......a bra showing!

And another thing about SATC.....did anyone notice that Carrie not only wears bra's under wrong outfits, but also ALWAYS wears a bra in BED? I don't understand a thing about that
