Vogue Italia February 2021 : The ‘Everyday’ Issue by Carlos Nazario

And why is this man still not fired???

The second I scrolled up my phone and saw the mess he created for the masthead, I already went “Nope, not today”. But then I made a mistake of going on Instagram and saw the cover floating around on the explore feed. If only his days at VI were numbered, but sadly I didn’t see it happening anytime soon.

Yes. Their Instagram posts are full of praise from people who want to be noticed by Vogue Italia. “I’ll buy 5 copies!” *clicks the profile* “up and coming photographer from London”.
Some editions will block you if you criticize.

Every issue is "Everyday" issue in case of Farneti's Vogue. Tell me something I don't know.

Because he’s perfect for CN’s new implied vision — social media & media validation.

The number of times this edition got validated by woke social media / media is undeniable. From the “no photoshoot issue”, “blank issue”, and “animal issue”. CN is slowly transitioning to the digital age with magazines abandoning print and going digital. What better way to transition than get an EIC that delivers the clicks, likes, and gets people to talk.

As much as I loathe this EIC, I don’t see him going anywhere until and unless the public finally pushes back. Careful though, since public perception is the prime consideration, it only takes 1 scandal and you’re out.

The fact that their idea of "real people, real lives" is a beautiful young white Vogue intern...
Lmao honestly a likely connected/ wealthy persons daughter on another cover groundbreaking

Maybe we could hire someone to find some “dirt” on him....lol... i don’t even know if im joking or not.

He and his team put so much effort to distance themselves from Franca’s VI that they become an abomination..

Again, about the sad and terrible comparison I made today, I want to apologize to the victims of aids and covid and their families. It was very stupid to relate the fashion crisis with both pandemics. It wont happen again.

I think if the marketing was more centered around the street style photographers that are unemployed and grounded, it would have been received better. I get supporting the community outside of models and actually, applaud them including interns (often overlooked) which is rare. Teen Vogue used to do it all the time.

However, I don't really see Carlos' styling hand here (not sure if he's established his identity yet) and think it's a missed opportunity for young photographers. Not saying Carlos can't expand to photography, but this is a lazy attempt. People have these jobs for a reason!

Every single post in this thread....
Ditto!

They look like candid shots from go-sees a’la Juergen Teller
