Vogue Italia July 2010 : Christy Turlington by Steven Meisel

Whoa! Love the Kirsi feature. I'm so happy Vogue IT loves her as much as I do! Finally a model being hyped that I feel like deserves to by hyped. Happens rarely in my case.

the kirsi spread is soooo chic; cant wait for HQ's - i am always sooo enamored with roversi's work. there is something so authentic about it.

i'm not too keen on kirsi's edit, she's making the same face in all of the shots, no range basically:mellow:

^ I definitely agree with you. It unnerves me to see the same face in every shot. -_-

Kirsi's editorial is so Roversi. Love it! <3 Even if it's just a studio shoot.

vogue italia is becoming so boring lately...the eds are nice but is it too much to ask for some eds that are surprising like the rehab one instead of studio eds? i feel like i'm going to spend 9 euros in vain again...

It's not a good cover. It looks more dated than classic. But I'm looking forward to the editorial, Christy is always so good in print :woot:

there's smth in Kirsi's face that scares me...

Christy is flawless... the only reason why I would get this issue so far... VI is quite expensive so it should really be someone worth of paying this money...

I don't know why people get sick of 'old' Supers... there are no 'new' supers by the way! Long discussed topic! I don't think they are getting as much work as new girls... and also whenever they get some work they deliver... which is why people buy magazines when they see them on covers...

Kirsi is such a good thing in the fashion industry now B) Hopefully, she will not disappear very quickly like the other girls.

Kirsi's story is magical, I can hardly restrain myself from staring at those pictures over and over. Mr. Roversi fully captured her otherworldly presence, and the lighting is particularly complementary, adding the right amount of mystery to the shots. I can hardly wait to pick up my copy only to get to see that edit in print. I'm eager to see Christy's as well, it looks promising.

Wow, Kirsi's editorial is phenomenal. Usually I wouldn't understand the appeal of a model like Kirsi either.
She looks absolutely fantastic, so strong. It's kinda similar to her May 2010 editorial by Meisel, but still.

i'm not crazy about the cover but like the Kirsi Pyhronen ed..in particular the face closer shot
