Oh, tigerrouge...Always on point.I wish the main editorial would come out so I could make more sense of the whole story. I don't mind the facial expression in the cover shot, because like iluvjeisa said - in the 60s, you often had covers like that, where you'd get immense beauty coupled with a vacant stare, as if the space age was happening in their head and they were already in a universe far, far away.
Other times, you'd get something like this cover below - November 1966, shot by Bailey - and I don't know about you, but I get the feeling she's not impressed by us. So it wasn't all smiles in the 60s, there was often an slight undercurrent of something unsettling or otherworldly about cover girls' demeanour (ebay.com/gillan1230
