Vogue Italia July 2010 : Christy Turlington by Steven Meisel

Fantastic backstage video (Thanks, NeverDrinkAgain) - and make up by Pat McGrath...marvelous, with dream - like quality.
Love it.

Kirsi is such a good thing in the fashion industry now B) Hopefully, she will not disappear very quickly like the other girls.

i agree^_^...the way they are markting her she is only doing big stuff instead of appearing in everything she could possibly get

I don't get Kirsi. A little one-note in the expression. The ed is boring.

yeah the editorial is really boring... that doesn't do anything for me.

Still no complete review?
I'm wondering where is diciassette17 lately, is she not member anymore?

^^ lol , i'm thinking the same thing...i desperately need those reviews to judge whether to buy or not .

BTW, the main editorial is supposed to be a very big one, just like the January issue..

Kirsi's ed is phenomenal. Simple but so chic and striking. Her facial features are pure perfection.

I love Kirsi's editorial. Paolo Roversi did an amazing job.
And I love Kirsi's eyes, don´t you?

Just bought the issue, don't waste the money....boring....

Please stop asking for a review & scans. It just clutters up the thread with unnecessary comments. If someone has the issue & is willing to share they will do so... and we will be grateful for it.

Thank you.

I will in a few hours...if that's ok with you.
It has a supplement for winter....it is the best part of the magazine

I don't really care for the Kirsi/Roversi ed actually  It feels like every shot is the same shot over and over as there isn't too much variety in Kirsi's expression. Non at all actually...she can do better.

^exactly! it's pretty but yes, it's quite bland.

i'm seriously thinking about buying this issue or not...what is the winter supplement exactly?

incredibly boring.

The only thing i like is Dioni's ed. I don't normally like Dioni or EVU but together with the Prada it just works. I like Kirsi but that ed is putting me to sleep.

I don't like Kirsi's editorial either, although I think she is a beautiful girl. One or two shots would have been lovely, but all those identical photos together is a huge snoozefest.

To me, there is nothing boring about the Roversi/Kirsi feature. The 50s and 60s references are all over it....and I think it's quite varied...one photo looking rather Fonssagrives, another very Grace Coddington (in the 60s).

There's one shot of Kirsi that, at first, looks beautiful. Unearthly, yeah, but beautiful. However in the consecutive shots it almost looks like someone wearing a finely-crafted mask of white (the kind some Japanese kabuki actresses use) that it becomes kind of off-putting.

Christy's cover reminds me of Carla Bruni's cover from March 1993...
