Vogue Paris February 2014 : Emily DiDonato by David Sims

Whatever happened to Freja's modeling skills? She definitely had them in the past, but most of her latest work makes me think she's completely forgotten how to use her body and her face. Her editorial is pretty bad and I fear it's mostly her fault.

Every single one of Amanda Murphy's shots in Irrésistibles is stunning! She's the only good thing about this issue, and I'm not even a fan.

The New Faces editorial is laughable because of its cast and its poor execution.

The rest of the content is just the same redundant stuff we see in every issue. This whole issue is a huge letdown.

Freja's seventh pic reminds me so much of a neoclassical painting. I love it.

Le Temps de l'innocence and Irrésistibles are both fantastic. I like most of Sorrenti's shots of Sam & Amanda. Now I definitely see Amanda's type of sensuality and I think she might be improving on delivering some studied sense of elegance and sex appeal.

I wouldn't want Grand's pedestrian taste in models for VP. Her capacity to see true talent is very limited. Why can't Emmanuelle just consult with MAS?

I don't think Freja's editorial is that bad,not just because I am her fans.Under the "innocence" theme, you can see she is trying to put on a chaste face, sorry if I use the wrong description, and her poses are OK.I also enjoy Alex White's styling, which fits this theme so so well.
And I am just surprised how a-m-a-z-i-n-g Sorrenti's story is.Look at those girls!!I have to say everyone has done a excellent job, even Sam looks really sexy,no offense.
The last pic of Vanessa is everything.

And the Terry story is Okay, love the mood in it.Emily's pics are gorgeous,10000 times better than the cover.
All in all, these editorials are acceptable, except Edie's funny expressions.Ugh,David Sims, how could you capture those silly and laughable movements, they are not appealing,at,all..

The worst issue?I don't think so.I have seen worse things.

Irrésistables is definitely the best thing about this issue. The casting is perfect even though most of them aren't the first to come in mind when I think of sexy. Amanda, especially, is killing it. Her shots are the best! No comment on the other editorials. They look too commercial for Vogue Paris.

I agree with the rest, Sorrenti's story is the best in this issue. Amanda looks splendid. Sam looks a bit out of place I must say, not very sensual.

The Grand ed is quite laughable. Most of those models aren't new faces and most of them wouldn't ever get into Vogue Paris if it wasn't for Grand. Charlotte Free, really?

Irresistibles is really incredible. Amanda totally steals it. Her face is out of this world! I also like Freja's ed ad the New Faces one.

Disgusting issue. As I said before, the worst one under her leadership without any doubt. Alex's input was the only exciting part of it, but the result was beyond disappointing. That ed is so bad that looks like it was shot by Sims.

Irrésistibles is awful too. Hated it (and I like Vanessa and Amanda).

Saskia's is the only 'decent' one, but I can't even remember how many times I've seen that particular ed in the pages of Vogue Paris. Not good at all, but considering the quality of the rest stories…

This is just unsustainable. I would have never imagined Vogue Paris to be this bad.

i wish there was more pictures with edita, that is a really cute little editorial.

i don't know why you would call that editorial new faces when charlotte free and george may are included...

sam, amanda and vanessa all look great in that editorial, definitely the best of the issue!

what a lackluster model issue, theres no direction at all in. It seems a bit all over the place

Maybe I just woke up this morning feeling forgiving but I'm not seeing anything wrong with the content presented in this issue.

Grand's ed is horrible. But then i never understood the appeal of her work.
This issue is a bit hit and miss.

Neither do I... I'd even go further and say that this is actually one of my favorite issues under Alt... She brought UFUStyle back, there's even a cooking section now and I feel like everything flows quite smoothly. Nothing amazing, but nothing appalling either.

Is pushing your brand in everything you shoot the new trend in magazines? (I'm looking at you Inez & Vinoodh and Katie Grand).
