The main ed also features Alexandra Elizabeth Ljadov. Than we have the whole cast.

Anyways, it's a great ed. Not spectacular but i'm just a sucker for collection eds.

Julia Nobis kinda brings down the editorial. Weird because she usually is awesome.

At first glance I loathed those new fonts but after looking through the issue via PDF, I'm surprised at how much I've warmed to them so suddenly. They remind me of how the magazine looked back in the early 00s. Yet then I ask is it a good thing I'm reminded of 2003 when I'm looking through an issue from 2015? Nonetheless I like the fonts and I'm eager to see how they translate in print.

David Sims' story isn't exactly groundbreaking but there are some wonderful shots. My favourites are Natasha in Marc Jacobs and Gisele in Diesel. I'm territorial when it comes to new girls being introduced to Vogue Paris. Must admit that I hate seeing the most random and latest of girl being cast for VP, like Vanessa Moody, Binx and whoever else. I'll hold my hands up and broadcast I only approve of Natasha, Daria, Edita, Anja etc. However with the abilities of styling and photography, Gisele manages to blend in and the others hold their own with great ease, which I find fascinating. Karolin Wolter completely takes over 'Studio Vogue'! Are we about to witness a new era of French Vogue?

could I get some IDs, please?

is Jean Campbell on the right?

Suvi on the left? Hana on the right?

Studio Vogue is the saving grace of this issue. All else is repetitive.

My dear Emmanuelle,
1. STOP using Giampaolo Sgura on your features. All your C'est Vogue features, month after month, look the same! It's like you took all the photos in one batch then decided to split them up into a year.

2. BRING BACK Sorrenti, I&V, Klein, Richardson, Feurer and +++! Their features, although some are repetitive and some are vulgar (ahem) add life to the magazine!

3. STOP using white backgrounds and making the photo black and white! Have you ever looked at your magazine and ever wondered asking "where's the life?", "where's the color?" I know using plain backgrounds add more emphasis to the clothes but girl, switch it up! White is not the only color in the color wheel. Just saying.

4. FIRE your Art Director. Good god. What is that layout! It's like they were unsure as to what font they were to use so they used all of them! And in my point of view, having 3 layout changes in the span of 3 years just goes to show that you haven't found the identity of the magazine yet. Reinvention is good, but please let this "reinvention" not only be projected on the layout... Kindly include all aspects of the magazine in the reinvention.

5. Cuneyt doesn't add anything to this magazine. Unoriginal and dull. He's just as monotonous as Giampaolo.

6. Girl, give me something seductive, sexy, fierce, bold, and something worth remembering! Natasha's June/July and Anna's August of last year were both heading that direction and after that, it all went downhill and reverted back to the same old stale magazine it is now. I know Carine focused too much on the sultry, sexy, and seductive side of femininity but at least now you have the power to mix it up! Not that I'm against the smiling, jumping and wacky photos of models, but girl, it gets annoying when seen too much.

7. I love that you brought back the collections issue (here's to hoping that it continues from here on), but girl don't use a photographer that focuses on studio shoots. I mean Studio Vogue is fantastic but at some point it became meh. Some outdoor shots would've broken the monotous state of the editorial.

8. Shuffle your stylists! The reason why the Miss Vogue, C'est Vogue, and Bijoux features are so repetitive and all looks the same is because they are always styled by the same stylist! To be honest, Geraldine's supplement editorials are sometimes so much better than the main content. Have her style a main editorial and have Joe McKenna or Suzanne style Miss Vogue. Emmanuelle can style C'est Vogue for a change as well.

I know Vogue Paris is trying because you can see it! Some issues are a miss and some are a big hit! And some issues make us readers ask if you guys are really trying at all. It just bothers me as to how a team of superb stylist produce lackluster content. Emmanuelle on her own is a great stylist, so as Suzanne ++ but how on earth do they produce such lackluster content?

What's more saddening is to know the fact that this team has potential and we all know they're capable of producing rich content. Let's not forget that Emmanuelle has produced some of the most unforgetable VP editorials of the year 2000 +!

100% agree. Outdoor shots would have been amazing

I am a sucker of the colletion ed!!Typical Sims which I enjoy so much!

the vast majority of VP's beauty and accessories features are so tacky and nothing remotely close to what I'd aspire to even if I had the means.

That 'Party Girl' feature is a joke. Don't get me wrong Hilary is workin it but she can't save the god awful styling nor lackluster art direction. Yes I see they tried to be clever in the incorporation of a sh*tload of accessories on every possible appendage of the poor model but let the readers eyes rest at some point in that given image. there's too much visual noise and clutter. I want to unsee this mess. The best I can say is that I've seen worse...

When I look at a magazine I want to be transported, transfixed by the content not consciously thinking "oh look at the modeling doin gymnastics in shiny trailer trash , thriftstore bargain bin finds.' Jeezuz, did I read of a VP redesign?!

Collection eds most often look more like a mishmash of random runway clothes rather a well thought out, cohesive, fluid synopsis of current trends. Studio Vogue is no exception. Not to mention the utter lack of emotion from the majority of models.
Why does a certain model whos last name rhymes with Brenner get so much flack when this entire features one blank faced mannequin after another?

Maybe I hold this collection ed to such high esteem because I remember the exact moment in 1996 standing in line at the supermarket begging my mom to buy this issue but these models in this January 1996 collection ed look happy, pensive, full of life, interacting and enjoying themselves and the company of their model colleagues and real life best friends.

Even now I'm struck by the beauty in photography and fashion styling. And if you look closely some of those clothes are atrocious but the editorial and model team made it work somehow!

Dear Alt,
Thank you for giving Anna the cover, but I hate you too for giving her this really bad cover image!

Got my copy earlier and I'm loving the new fonts and layout even more than in the PDF. There are some pages inside the magazine where the redesign works wonderfully. Alt's letter for one and the page before 'Studio Vogue' opens ups is fabulous. I'm never EVER a one for change but this time around I'm on board. The magazine now feels rejuvenated and I look forward to seeing how it translates into the March issue.
