What Are You Planning To Buy For Winter?

I am looking for a new pair of tall boots. Probably brown or really dark brown. Looking for a few "sexy" loose fitting skirts. I'll be into black for winter, it's just so chic and classic. I'll be loading on jewelry as well, probably something similar to the chunky turquoise necklaces from the Ralph Lauren show... I am in love with ultra fitted long black coats, with a flared bottom. There's something so romantic about those coats!

I'll also get a few pairs of dark colored pantyhoses, thick ones though. Probably a few black and grey.

I would like this dress for winter....

NO!!!

hahaha... :P ...okay...how about these red LV shoes?...
i love them...

i'm also really feeling purple/plum and burgundy with grey, camel and chocolate brown...

helena...can't wait to hear about your visit to VB in paris...please take note and fill us in on what's in store...i so wish i could visit her store or order her collection online...i like the bayswater bag...it's elegant enough for the office, but shabby enough for weekends...i think it's a great bag...i considered it myself...haven't completley ruled it out...but it's classic...so i'm not in a rush...

faust...maybe try century for gloves...or agnes b...

that dress is beautiful...i also like the red bag...see...i've been wanting a red bag for awhile now...i'm going to have to get one one of these days...maybe a bayswater...

i bought a red coat from joseph last season...i'm definitley feeling red... :innocent:

i think i'm just feeling deep rich colours...jeweltones with a hint of blk...hmmm....

Oh no - softgrey you are encouraging me again!! I had narrowed it down since I posted the pics to a vanessa b bag or the bayswater... they have them for sale here where i live for £400 - the pink and the blue are still available. mmmm - Vanessa bruno - there is a japan site which i found last week - it has pics of the current collection & accessories & some 'thoughts' on her inspiration but its all in japanese. But in any case I will be taking note when in paris of her new stock. By the way - i read that Reiss is opening soon in NY - you liked it didn't you - its not VB but still quite nice stuff. i get my work clothes from Reiss mainly.

I love the gren dress - you are lucky you can wear red - its not so good on me unfortunately! yes all the jewel colours - so lovely. I have always been a big fan of purple & plum & they are perfect this winter!!

by the way I think I saw a picture of Kate Moss wearing your new dries dress - yummmy!!! have you worn it yet?

:flower:

maybe they'll have a VB bag on sale at the store...!!!...i still wear mine more than any other...and it's the most inexpensive one i have... but it's probably too funky for your office...from the sound of it...i've seen that japanese website...i wish i could order from there...

i wore the dries dress last week...i'm now debating a pair of silver sandals to go with it...HA!...i still haven't finished summer shopping...

ps where was the pic of kate..i'd like to see it...

i saw it in a magazine so can't post it but it looked so lovely. the sandals sound a good idea - I have a pair of little silver round toed shoes from last summer that I just love - they are very like the shoes dries did this summer actually.

I have three VB bags already - a blue sequinned one, a mauve/silver one and a navy leather one wih pink studs. My sister has two as well. I love them. they have a great selection in Paris - all the colours of the rainbow!!

Spotted this at the mall the last time I was there and I think I need to get it.

So am I! I feel it's the next basic almost...

Red will be huge I think.

some of the new season collections now on Net a porter. Mui Mui skirts are beautiful.... my favorite things i think. One of the Victor & Rolfe shirts is nice too.

Softgrey - there are a couple of new Vanessa B items - quite a nice grey cardigan. You can actually just see the label & it looks like its her Athe range which is quite cheap in her shops - but NaP price is quite high. I think NaP really overprices things. I am not keen on quite a lot of what they buy. Its all quite 'st trop'....

which page of the site helena? (my English is rather poor though)

I will be buying all the cashmere I can get my hands on. especially v-neck sweaters, ballet wraps, and scarves. I particularly want a new pale pink scarf. in fact, lots of scarves, in every colour, though I don't think I can afford for all of them to be cashmere or pashmina.

also eveningwear. I've already bought a few vintage dresses to re-work, but I'm going to need more. :ninja:

and finally, I am looking for a really nice rectangular leather messenger bag in my spending range...so far I haven't found one cheap enough. :(

that's all I can think of at the moment. I already found the most perfect tweed blazer ever, and that was at the top of my list. :grrr:

i saw the new stuff on NaP...yawn...the sweater's nice, but i have stuff like that already...i think i used to like their selection of VB better a couple of seasons ago..but i agree that it's gotten rather questionable lately...i love the dress i got from them...but that's the only thing...and you're right about the pricing...i got a few things that they had in the site here in NY at half the price... :innocent:

~oversized, really soft sweaters (in warm colors)

~trousers (mostly grey)

~boots (mostly flat or small heel)

~coat (pea coat-ish with a hood)

~i want skinny pants now looking at alexander mcqueen's site. even though they were wearing boots.

I just need to start building up my wardrobe. Its bare

Me too ;)

I've been cleaning out my wardrobe, and I have nothing that I need, so I'll have to concentrate on investing in some good basics.

- I need some new pairs of jeans, I'll probably end up getting some basic Fornarina ones because I haven't found any that fit me better.

- Cardigans. I wish I could afford the Vanessa Bruno or the Miu Miu ones that I've been drooling over

- A new pair of black chuck taylors.

- A good coat. Don't know which style or colour yet.

- A new bag. I've been looking for a purple and green one from Orla Kiely, but no luck. Anyone know a place online that sell her bags?

- Boots. Probably dark brown leather, knee-high, flat ones. I haven't seen any I like this season though.

- Various knitwear. Black turtleneck, v-necks etc.
