eds:
"The Best New Pieces" by Greg Kadel. Gemma, a beigy-gray background and some very nice clothes: Balenciaga sailor pant & white trench, purple Lanvin skirt suit, olive tonal polka dot YSL blouse & skirt, Prada jacket and shorts suit, Yohji's halter dress over pants. The problem is it's too boring...and it's a waste of a talented model.
"The Hits of the Season" by Peter Lindbergh. Similar to the piece in Jan. US Vogue: group of models, one designer. Louise Pedersen, Michelle Buswell, Iselin, Tiiu, Marina Perez, Alexandra Tomlinson in Proenza Schouler, Hermes, Lanvin, Balenciaga, Chloe. But again, it's too boring for me. The Vogue shoot had different backgrounds, different poses. Here, each shot is the same, on an artist loft backdrop. I also didn't like the major overlap of designers from the above ed; seems like they could have left this out, or shortened it into another ed/article about key collections.
"Spring's Brightest Accessories" by Hiro. Eye-popping bags, shoes, the usual from Hiro
"Teri Hatcher: America's New Domestic Goddess" by Alexi Lumbomirski. Smiling, bubbly Teri in Michael Kors (white gown that Carmen wore), Dolce & Gabbana, and Donna Karan.
"It's All About Love" by Peter Lindbergh. Fashion people and their loves, out and about in Manhattan and Paris. A really lovely ed.

"Making Fashion News" by Hugh Stewart. Ann Curry, Soledad O'Brien, and Elizabeth Vargus in gowns and talking fashion.
"Gucci's New Girl" by Solve Sundsbo. Interview with Alessandra Facchinetti with pics of Isabeli in Gucci.
"The New Additions" by Thomas Schenk. Cameron Russell in the pieces to perk up your wardrobe. Shot very similarly to the Gemma ed, with the same results. And the subject matter is almost identical. Another waste of a good model.
also:
- runway to red carpet page, kinda like our "When Stars Wear Runway Looks" thread
- interview with Amber Valletta on her film career
- the best accessories in metallics, coral & turquoise, rope and wood
- the rules of the season with some good runway shots
- closet confidential with Shiva Rose McDermott, Rachel Zoe Rosenweig and Nathalie Marciano
- Buy, Keep, Store
- the fashionable life of Dior jewelry designer Victoire deCastellane
- article on new bags by Rochas and VBH
my take:
I'd give this issue 2 out of 4. The Love ed by Lindberg is very nice, as is the
ed with Gemma (I love the clothes). The Gucci girl piece was ok, but the other edits are a bore. The other articles, features make up for this, but really not enough. All of the fashion advice seemed to blur together (pieces of the season/new additions/hits of the season/rules of the season). I get it already.
After seeing many of the new ads in person, the Missoni/Daria with bleached hair is horrible, Prada is beautiful, as is Armani & Gucci, but the Etro with Natasa is stunning.
