What To Wear On An Airplane

Wow, you guys really dress up when you fly

Here is my usual plane attire:
- Turquoise Lululemon sweater
- Random comfy t- shirt
- Lululemon spandex pants
- Running shoes
- wollen socks (my feet get really cold)
- Lululemon bag full of stuff to keep me occupied

I usually where Lululemon on planes because it is really comfy and it keeps me warm. Although, I do change as soon as I can :D

definitely wear sandals

i wore on very recent trip:

old tee shirt
old diesel zip hoodie
old energie pants
dior flight sandals w/ socks  extremely appropriate, i thought. :p

I'm going on the airplane for the first time tomorrow, don't know what I'm wearing yet

^ I suggest comfy jeans, loose shirts and layers, socks and cardigan cause it can be cold especially if you travel for many hours.
I think next time i'll bring spring/fall jacket with me, cause last time even cardigan wasn't enough + the blanket they gave didn't help much either.
Where do you travel? ^_^

From Holland to Mallorca, so it's only 2.5 hours. Thanks for the advice

For short flights, I really just tend to wear whatever. Socks are a good idea, yes, but esp in summer (and for me, generally, whole year around) Flip Flops/Sandals are the one and only shoe choice during flights. There's more freedom for the feet, and when your toes get cold, you can put the socks on or put them on your seat and wriggle them under the blanket/pashmina.

Another good choice is a pair of flats. Or, when you're a guy, light leather loafers or slip-ons. Depending on your look, either one of them will work. They don't need socks and can easily be slipped on and off.

Not tight jeans. I like to get up every hour to walk around because they recommend you do that for your legs. I won't wear sweats but something comfortable to stretch in.

I always wear flats becuase they're easy to slip off at security and I bring a zip up hoodie becuase it's so easy to take off/put back on.

I'm going on summer holiday from Europe to LA -13 hours flight. This is a lot different from when I travel for business like Europe - Singapore ot Hong Kong - I usually wear my business suit and it the plane I change in a nice sporty PJ.
Now I feel a bit lost as LA is very relaxed and I'm going on vacation - what would you say about that outfit?

The pants are very LA, aris ;) Possibly not very you though :) The sweater looks maybe a bit formal ... are you thinking of repurposing it later?

However, the highs in LA are in the 80s for the next 10 days ... I'm thinking the sweater is a bit heavy. Will it be cool when you leave or in-flight, are you thinking?

I wonder if we have an LA street style thread ...

fashionista-ta, thank you ! The cardigan is just an example - I have one RL -much lighter that is very similar in color - I'll use it in the plane as it really gets cold in it.
I just didn't want to have a mathcing top for the pants

Black Leggings or Stretchy Skinnies
Rick Owens Cashmere Sweaters (super long so double as blankets!)
Eye-Sheilding Sunglasses + Lanvin Flats
A tshirt by The Row!

in colder seasons: jeans, sneakers, zipped hoodie with a tee or a tank top underneath and a leather jacket or some other short jacket

in summer: denim knee length shorts or something like that, tank top, flip flops (easy to take off) and a hoodie.

comfort is the key for me, especially on long flights

I don't know - but I'm sure I won't be comfortable wearing skirts and shorts on a long flight - for 14 hours my hairs will grow, LOL!

after 14hours flight I'm usually so tired that I don't even notice any flaws LOL :D

I'm always on early flights and the air conditioning in planes can be brutal, so I layer - a pair of slim-fit jeans, a light cotton tee or tank top with a jumper or hoodie, socks and trainers. I always bring a pair of sunglasses on the plane to pop on at the other end so I can swan out through Arrivals and into the sun :D

Something like this..

browns, barneys, nap, ebtm, oki-ni

A week from this Sunday I'll be flying out to Honolulu (I shouldn't be complaining :p), so naturally I'm stressing over what to wear on the airplane. What I'm looking for is a dress that I wouldn't mind wearing for the five or so hours I'll be on the airplane, but will also look good when I arrive at the airport. ;)
