When Did You Start Wearing Makeup?

in high school when i was about 14 or 15. ive always kept it very basic but i did go through phases where id subtly cake it on...lol
i learned about makeup in teen magazines, about the cheap stuff like maybelline and cover girl. hehe

I started when I was 12 or 13. My very cool aunt gave me her free samples of Clinique lipstick and eyeshadow. She also gave me her Shiseido eyeliner stubs. A friend of mine taught me to use Cover Girl shine free pressed powder and Max Factor liquid makeup. I really enjoyed trying on all of it. A bad case of acne started when I was a junior in high school and I couldn't wear any face makeup except on the lips or eyes. A great dermatologist helped clear up my skin and I am back to using makeup.
:D

Since I've been involved in dance since I was 4, I've known how to do my own stage make-up since I was about 7 or 8. I started wearing a little street make-up (just mascara and lip gloss) at 12. Now, at 14, I can wear whatever I want, and I love playing with new looks.

Even If I went to a girl & Boy school I probably wouldn't wear it, lol I like to look like I don't care:lol:...i think it suits me best.

If that doesn't make sense its KINDA like when you look like you haven't tried your clothes on for AGES in the morning deciding what to wear and instead you just quickly put something on and somehow it looks great!

I've been doing ballet since I was 4...but I don't think that counts

The only time I really do my make-up so people will notice is dress up days...i was a rockstar:rofl: last time...cool as smoky eyes!!!!! I had lots of fun doing that! I still didn't wear foundation though :ermm:

Out of the house or just play make up practising putting it on and for parties. Because if that counts I was about 6. 4 seems a little young though to wear full make up everyday.

Oh the same just wondering because a 4 year old kid wearing full make up out side the house or partys would be too werid lol.
Welcome to tfs by the way ive not seen you around b4. :flower:

I know exactly what you mean.

I wasn't allowed to wear any until 16. then I got the kind permission to use some mascara and a gloss or very subtle lipstick.
anyway when I became 18 I soo made up for my make-up surpressive education and wore the craziest and colourfull make-up. now luckily I know that less can be more

i started to wear make up at 19 and i d just put lipgloss and blush, i still think i should ve waited a bit more because as soon as u start u can't go back to never wearing it, well for me anyway

I started wearing make up on a regular basis when I was in 7th grade (about 12-13 years old). My mom would only let me wear make up at that age if it looked natural. I wore it before that for dance and what not, but I don't think that counts. I learned from my mom and the ladies at the Lancôme counter :P

I've always played with make up scince i was like 4... sometimes i would put on tons of makeup [and not well] when i was like.... 7-9... and i went thru a red lipstick phase in Gr.6 [10-11 yrs old]... My parents just let me do my thing... they didnt really mind me wearing make up... they thought it was cute/funny that i thought i looked all grown up and pretty when i really looked like an 8 yr old that fell on a pile of sparkles and bright coloured eye-shadow... i played with makeup so much that i guess as i got older my taste in make up changed [all for the better] and i never really had to 'learn', the skill just came with all the trial and error lol...

now i use mascara, an eyelash curler, eyeliner, lip gloss and bronze shimmer on my eyes and on the apple of my cheeks... its kind of a natural sun kissed look  but some days i dont wear makeup at all [usually because i dont have time lol]

by the way, im new!

I wore make up when I was younger for dance and stuff like that. When I was around 13/14 I took my sister's make up to play around/experiment with while she was out. I'm over that phase, I never wear make up (I'm 16).

Haven't started yet, and I don't plan to anytime soon. I only put on makeup on formal black-tie events like weddings, grown-up parties, performances, classical concerts, etc. And even then, it's kept to a minimum. I don't like how it makes me feel like I can't move my face just because I know it's there.

When I was 13-14... I used to wear SOO much black eyeliner oh god haha
oh yea.. I was cool :P
