Yves Saint Laurent F/W 09.10 : Christy Turlington by Inez & Vinoodh

The ad campaign is alright, I'm not jumping at it but it did catch my eye when I was reading Elle.

CYBER MANIFESTO: Yves Saint Laurent is adding its name to the rapidly growing list of fashion brands jumping into social media. On Saturday, the French fashion house launched a Facebook page, “Yves Saint Laurent — the official page,” as well as a Twitter account. Visitors to both will find news about the brand and can follow tweets on creative director Stefano Pilati’s newest collections, projects and YSL events, as well as new campaigns and notables who have been spotted wearing the label.

For the first time, the Internet also will play a role in the launch of YSL’s Manifesto, with publication of the fifth edition slated for Sept. 12. On Sept. 1, the fashion house will launch a special microsite, which will feature an archive of previous editions, as well as a Manifesto blog monitor, and links to YSL’s Facebook and Twitter activities. On Sept. 8, the company will upload a behind-the-scenes video of Manifesto, which was shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and features Christy Turlington. The entire publication also will be able to be downloaded from the microsite on the day of the launch.

Great news that there allowing you to download the Manifesto. I'm looking forward to seeing a few more shots.

^That's indeed great news :woot: Thanks for sharing.

erm...all shots looked boring and dull.like theyre of some old ads from vintage magazines or something.

what Naomi did to YSL last time is wayyyy better than these. sorry Christy~

Oh me! Oh my!
I love the shoe shot. Im in love with this collection.

I dont know why people blame Christy like if she was the mind behind the concept, styling, set and photographers, I just dont get it.

^That shot is in the new issue of Dazed & Confused. She's completely naked excpet for the bright red shoes, it's pretty good.
I don't have a scanner though unfortunately.

I hope they hand out the manifesto in the street again, I prefer it in print.

yuck this look like a bad editorial circa 1987

love the idea, but i dont think they should have taken it so literally and used someone a bit fresher then Christy.. would have been nice without so many literal references.

This whole thing looks so 90s (or 80s maybe?). But not in like ironic or inspirational kind of way, just in a desperate and stale kind.
