^ His last few collections haven't been very original though, this one seems to be pushing forwards a bit more then past collections.

^both. that is what i admire about the guy....he does assemble these wonderous shows filled with immense theatrics but ultimately he does have a more accessible side to him as well.

you're absolutely right about that spike. and when it comes down to it,really,only the make-up and hair(Elizabeth Taylor-esque it is)is all i see that equates obviously. the clothes are impressively original in his inspiration.

Well if you put it like that, he's still making fashion because if I were a woman, there are many pieces I would wear, especially the coats and jackets. And if you're looking at the not-so-normal, of course with a showman there will be show pieces, no?

that's a sticky question, huh...
obviously, the runway is costume, but then we get to the "fashion" part, and there's never much.
that is, the showroom collection is rather unimaginative. but there are moments...when he puts a look on the runway that has so much street cred, i can think of the original tailoring from f/w '04...

*btw, what's with the pentagram...it's makes me uneasy when people play around with that symbol carelessly, it has such a history! and people taking it lightly, or in a silly manner..not good.

Beautiful so far! I actually like this better and think it's a lot more wearable than last season, which I adored.

McQueen can do little wrong for me, these days.

this collection didnt leave me as breathless and hyper-venilating like s/s07, yet...



It took a month but the wait was worth it. i love those jackets with the BIG collars, and the dresses are completely gorgeous as usual.

Gorgeous and theatrical...But I love to see collections that I yearn to own a piece of clothing from...this is just as gorgeous as it gets..to look at...
usually the pre-a-porter version of it- will be totally diff..just like this season ..but he's still the best of paris I think..
