Alexander McQueen Uomo AW 05-06 Milan

I have to confess. I was still waiting for that :woot: that Alexander Mc Queen always delivers. And I almost thought I wasn't gonna find it...

Now that I see the back of the beaded thing I'm even more in !!!!

I'm so knocking off that quilted looking jacket.

:woot: Can you make two? :innocent:

^I really like that jacket.

It just hit me, that jacket is meant to be inverted! See the lines of the non-shiny fabric? That's how some designers (especially Costume National) line the blazers these days.

I think it might be the traditional style of lining, Faust. Paul Smith's jackets seem to all be lined like that.

looks good... love the black ;) ... the pieces with the metal paillettes are insane!

Those coats are perfection. All I want is that gun holster type thing in the gold and Id be happy...Ill ask for it for graduation.

i can not tell you how amaizing the mcqueen menswear is in person - i was in london yesterday and tried some of it on and its beautiful especially the blue tailored coat which i might have to order in my size (damn you tiny body lol)

oh, btw, i forgot to post. the blue coat everyone loved is nearly not as good-looking in real life as it was on the runway.

Today I went to the McQueen store here in Milan and tried on a black version of the coat and thought the fit was quite nice. I do however to some extend agree that the blue version isn’t as stunning in real life as it was on the runway. Perhaps it has something to do with the lightning of the show being perfect for that particular shade of blue?

The price of the black version I tried on was however far lower than what some of you expected at about €1100, as far as I remember.

They also had another version of the coat with some beautiful handmade embroidery, btw.

I was also pleasently surprised by the price. I think the price is low because of the fabric. I remember Helmut Lang constantly using moleskin for coats, and those weren't expensive either.
