Alexander Wang for H&M

^^^ Models may be tall and "long", but they really are so tiny-- unlike the average woman who's got more girth to fill in what appears to be voluminous garments. I think "medium"-sized/ the average to plus-size girls will fit in these designs just fine.

I mean, these clothes literally scream, "LOOK AT MY WANG."

Good for him for owning the "WANG". LOL

I think Wang is smart for bringing designs according to his market. These very accessible designs with their crass branding may be baulked at here for their all-too basic-ness and vulgar branding, but the general population will be attracted to such easy-to-wear basics and loud branding. The Margiela collab was too severe for the average customer, and the customer that wears mainline labels aren't going to go for these types of collabs anyway, so I think that's why it sank. But I think Wang's collab will be successful in attracting a wide demographic of shoppers.

I have mixed feelings..i guess i need to see the collection properly before my final judgement.

It looks like the coats and jackets will be the saving grace of the collection otherwise I can go to Target and pick up some Champion workout gear for 20 bucks.

the clothes have to be so branded. the kids at school need to know I spent all my money at H&M for "desinger"clothes.

this collection is a real boner killer IMO. i doubt i'd be attracted to any guys wearing this stuff - especially those leggings for men with the tire treads on them - in fact i'd probably burst out laughing if i saw some of most of these looks for men.

it's going to be interesting to see how H&M deals with clothing male celebrities in these get ups at the launch event.

I'll be skipping on this then. There's absolutely nothing wearable for men at this stage. I wouldn't mind the branding if it didn't look so desperate and amateur.

Is it me, or is this ridiculous branding done to purposely alert every single human being that you stood in line to buy at H&M? Quite snarky in my opinion.

I don't even like expensive clothes with logos all over them so I certainly won't spend money on cheap clothes covered with logos.

To be fair to him if these clothes didn't get all the hype they may still be decent clothings on their own, but I won't buy it esp because it costs so much and likely a lot of people will be wearing it. Might as well buy T by AW during sale, if ever?

Some pieces of Alexander Wang are cheaper and some of them are affordable enough during sale seasons. Bought some of his tees for around USD 50 or less on Mr. Porter last July

A lot of decent pieces ruined with the size 600pt 'WANG' all across them.

The pricing on this is way higher than I would have expected and might be prohibitive. People don't go to H&M to spend hundreds of dollars. That's where you get your cheap fast fashion.

Sorry --- please forgive me for asking what may be an obvious question. i swear i went through this thread and didn't see an answer. anyway - when exactly is this collection being released? and the lookbook isn't out yet, correct?

thanks much!

The Alexander Wang x H&M collection will feature apparel and accessories for women and men, and will be available in over 250 H&M stores worldwide and online, from November 6, 2014.

Well I am happy - I don't see a single thing to wear and buy. Good for my wallet.

But I want a gym bag, yoga bag or boxing gloves - wonder how much they will be - still don't now what this said about collection :innocent:
