I think if Wang hasn't got those praise and anna's flattering, but just does his clothes as he always does as a crazy young designer ,maybe he will show a better collection than this.people have given him too much expectation, but the truth is there is only one Marc Jacobs and obviously Wang is not.

those peg leg pants are attrocious , why on earth would anyone want hers thighs to look 40 pounds heavier ????

the same blatant ripping of Balenciaga/Balmain/Givenchy of past seasons, he had the position to offer something different but he blew it. I can go to topshop right now and pick up the same kinda of shiat .

i agree. his designs are far too average and the same thing can be found at top shop.

i still think this is an improvement though ~_~

I don't know why but I like this.
I mean it's largely unflattering but I appreciate the aesthetic and I'm actually quite a fan of the styling.
And YAY for an appealing cast of models

I am usually a big Wang fan but this collection is not making me jump and down. I maybe like about 3 pieces. as always i will reserve my judgement for now.

This collection looks awful. It's messy. I can't put my finger on an exact word, it doesn't make sense.

This is actually a collection I like for 50% of the time. Feels very Miu Miu with a New York ease, quite different from his previous collections and the other shows so far. He does present a point of view here - very hip American sportswear. I don't wear clothes to "flatter" my figure, so that to me is not a consideration.

reminds me of vivienne westwood...alot

i totally agree with that especially in proportion and construction. as i'm generally a fan of this type of downtown hard edge cool girl i like it and i can honestly see many of these pieces on an older city girl with means like sjp as carrie bradshaw.

but alexander wang doesn't need a new muse, he needs erin wasson back as a stylist. at least, his previous collections had a strong point of view -- whether we loved it or hated it. this just seems a bit disjointed and not congealed into one STRONG statement. especially since so many of these pieces in this collection would look great with sensible basics.

also, he needs to get back in touch with manolo blahnik because those shoes already look hackneyed.

honestly, there are some really unique pieces if you take a closer look but if you see as a whole collection, its not really coherent and the styling is not really good at all...

those big footballer sweatshirts are exact rip off from Vivienne Westwood and Kenzo did around 1981-1982 lool i just remember , I remember it in an editorial too , im sure wang took straight lifts from those editorials

i just cant wait for cathy horyn to rip this up :)

wow 8 pages already! well one thing for sure Wang knows how to be a hot discussion, whether is pleasing or displeasing others .

^well, he is supposed to be the Next Big Thing™. Whether all his hype is warranted or not is another thing entirely.

Same cropped t-shirts, same sweatshirts, same pants, Balenciaga-inspired shoulders...

Except an interesting cape-coat, I don't see anything new.

US sportswear x I.Marant x Westwood x Blacksmith Medieval Chic ..............................

Wth does that mean ?

though, i have to say there are 2 or 3 items I like ... but 90% of the collection is bad and utterly unwearable (yes unwearable !)
