WOW! This is super gorgeous! Kate looks damn pretty on the cover. And a model on the cover of Allure?!? Now that's really something. It's been like what...? More than a decade since the last time a model graced their cover.

Even though its Kate, its still refreshing to see her on the cover of Allure. Her Bazaar issue was best selling for them, there is slowly happening a shift in the magazine world. Movie & Pop stars are not the huge draws anymore, people are bored of them, so fashion personalities are selling way more, and that means that sooner or later it will get back to models getting that power. Hopefully.

Interesting they didnt save her for Sept, because it would make more sense to have Garner on August and Moss on Sept, but either way its a lovely cover.

After a bagillion mainstream and reprinted covers and everything other publication type imaginable allure finally puts Kate on their cover Sorry but not buyin it!
To me seeing Kate's face there is simply a confirmation of her supermodel cum pop icon / celebrity status. Its not anything new nor indications of this publication going back to its model based beauty and editorial roots. the days when the likes of kevyn aucoin, steven meisel even steven klein show-cased in-depth beauty and fashion innovations are long gone.

Kate looks odd. Would like to have seen a smiling au natural relaxed cover from her. the Free Stuff tagline blaring next to her face is a nice touch.
