on Asian models. 50 names will be ranked.

This is the revelation to see where the current top Asian models stand
in the fashion industry in respect of their peers, and a reflection of their current résumé,
which will result their position.

The unknown at Nicole Miller is Il Myung Suk.

Brandon Maxwell finally got some Asian models. Hyunji and Cong He were there. Not the best but itÂ’s a start.

Brandon Maxwell is a politically correct designer who uses black models and calls it diversity. He's only employing them to make himself looks good. Just like riccardo tisci. I hate people using black models because it's the right race card to play at the moment.

MDC Updates:
Cong He is finally on the Top 50

Well deserved but IMG has to step it up for Cong if they really see more potential and if they see longevity for her. While it's too early to call it quits for her, but it'd be interesting once her runway becomes less lucrative. She'll need to be doing more print work.

She just scored a huge stepping stone for Vogue UK, other than that she did VI. She needs to be in the big league of Vogue/Numero/W/T Magazine/Love, etc. More exposure and more gigs for her.

Her campaign resume isn't something to frown on but at the same time it'd be helpful if she score a bluechip/second tier campaign for FW18. Or a big cover.


Might be overthinking but personally just want to ensure that she's going to places and just not write her off yet.

MDC Updates:
Sohyun Jung and Xie Chaoyu are now on the hot list, joining Hoyeon.

Finally Yoon Young has been added to the hot list

All good for going up, let's just hope they all stay there for a while - too many Asian models are on the Hot List then falls off, sooner than ideally even though that's the reality of the game.

Dachuan is established and still working. Questionable and understandable as to why he hasn't ranked anything yet, for a face that's been in the game for 5+ years...

He just scored SS18 D&G and Tod's campaign (huge deal for an Asian), so that should say something about him. Perhaps with these two things he could start going in that direction or get some kind of acknowledgement. Here's to a start.

Great work Prym! Much appreciated. As glad as I am that there are over 50 Asian models working in the industry, it's disappointing how none of the newly established girls (Sora, Cong, Hoyeon, etc.) still don't have any big covers (Yoonyoung/Radhika might be the only ones with a big 4 cover, and even they were in the foldout).

^ Definitely more than 100 working Asian models. Many not named due to shortage of points.

Possible names in the future that could peak into the Top 50 like Lina Zhang, Leah Chen, Soyoung and Lakshmi Menon. These girls all have something going on, but to sustain that workload is another story. Best to all.



Forget to say the fact that Cong is #2 is extra proof of her place on MDC's Top 50. Goes to show she warrants that title.

^ Forgot to mention but originally people speculated maybe one group was for Chanel, the other for Fendi, but Hoyeon's hair in the IG story is the same hair she wore for the Chanel FW18 show, so I think Hoyeon's work (campaign or not) is Chanel related.
