Devon i don´think your desings are WOW or so...in my opinion your drawings, your ideas aren´t news, you take a really simple idea, a simple shape and you make 5 same dresses which is very boring. Then your shoes are unwerable and some of your clothes. I don´t know how old are you, but your work is not talentful enough, and you will have to find a way to make your collections interestings. It is only an opinion.

i have been waiting for that scathing review.
thx vogue for your comments first of all...

baleciaga-what makes my shoes unwearable? because they are different? and what about my clothes taking simple shapes, as opposed to taking a complex ones? i think there are a few things in my collections that arent like everyday things...maybe a good red carpet dress which cant be worn everyday but by no means do i think alot of my clothes are unwearable....especially when i compare it to collections that are out now. also yes i am taking the same dress shape and doing different dresses, but whats wrong with that? if i think the same dress looks good with changes why would i not draw it? i would also like to add that no one really has a "new" idea, it may be an idea that you don't see as much, but it certainly isn't a new one. i can guarantee that.

Devon I love your designs/drawings. Very graphic and detailed. Forget naysayers. The fact that there's grammatical and orthographic errors within the critique means cultural tastes are at odds here (so it's just a matter of opinion). But I think they're lover-ly!!! :flower:

PS. You do seem to have a lot of desert/exotic themes at play in your designs though...are you culturally mixed?

lol
not in the least..lol
i never noticed that before....maybe i just gravitate to that? lol shrug

Ok no prob.
Yea maybe subconsciously that's ur style. Just like how other designers have their own unique look.

Then your shoes are unwerable

How do you explain the shoes that the house of Balenciaga consistently commissions for their accessories collection, that don't have the look of every day shoes? Houses like Dior, Prada and Balenciaga constantly create a line of shoes that not even the models on the runway can walk on. How do you explain that to Devon that his shoe designs aren't wearable but the ones you see on the runways of Milan and Paris are "wearable"?
