At what age did you start getting into fashion?

God! I was born with fashion. My mother was a fashionista. Her friends are fashionistas. B) As I got older I 'm more the minimalists than anything.

I have liked fashion since 12, but i dont wear the latest trends...you wouldnt know i liked fashion unless i told u!

Ever since I was in second grade I remember getting so mad because my cousins would copy my "wonderful fashion sense" haha. But I got really interested in 7th grade when I got a Teen Vouge in the mail

I as just talking about this to a friend...my story is an odd one:

i had many notebooks filled with fashion drawing. of course, they were bad, but there were pages and pages.

my father found them, and he embarrased me so much that i threw them out in a dumpster on my way to karate practice. i was 11 then, i had been doing the drawings for 4 years.

obviosuly, about three years ago i discovered style.com and then this wonderufl place and i went with it. thank goodness, though. i would hate to numb my love of fashion any longer.

back in 2001 i bought elle magazine because mariah carey was on the cover, and i wanted to read the article on her. after reading it i scanned through the pages and began to grow an interest in the shoes, clothing and fashion icons. so i guess i fell in love with fashion by coincedence.

I dont know. Ive always dressed well, because of my sister and mother, and my Mother was out of control in the 60's, out of control, it was just...Gorgeous. Back on topic, I got into it at around 15, I could dress other people well but I was a walking D&G ad, but then I started dressing myself well...

10. I was obessed with fashion from a young age.

I've always been obsessed with fashion and make-up, but i didn't develop my own "style" until Sophomore year of high school...

I've been intrested in fashion as long as I could remember, but I feel like I'm just biggining to get a sence of what works for me.

Unlike many other people who have posted in response to this question, there was no distinct moment in time when I became interested in fashion. My interest level in fashion has fluctuated from time to time over the years, but on the whole, has seen a pretty steady increase.

I don't think i was ever really interested in fashion when i was young it just so happened i was modelling from age 12 so sort of got involved in that aspect. But only in the last 3-4 years have i taken a real notice in designer clothes and such which is mainly due to a change in life style and friends.

I started getting into fashion around 16
but at the time i was in state and gained 15 kgs
ahhhh!! horrible memories ..

^ same here..started reading vogue and other mags like that when i was 12 or 13 but at that age i was just like "hm i guess ill just go wear everything abercrombie!" but when i became a sophmore was when i really started putting together outfits and becoming more of an individual, getting into designers (not bc of their prestige but bc the clothes actually complemented my style) and such...

when i was 14 reading my mom vogue and marie claire ..and beacuse i went shopping with her and she would teach me about the designer clothes and quality =)

I was 4 and throwing a tantrum in my room, surrounded by my parents and relatives. We were going to church and I just HAD to wear red tights with my baby blue church dress. No one understood why and just wanted me to wear the white tights. I wasn't going to lose this fight....

This was 23 years ago.. and as the years past whenever i see an outfit with light blue and red i want to wear it as a triumphant symbol. Versace used to do a lot with this color combo and it makes me go 'a HA!'...

PS. also at 4 i snuck a pair of scissors and cut off the shoulders of all my ballet leotards because i thought it was prettier/sexier. unfortunately i was not well-versed in the habits of unhemmed nylon knitwear back then and rendered them useless.

As long as I can remember I have loved clothes and everything to do with fashion. I would have to say though, at about age 12 is when I truly fell in love with fashion and knew I wanted it to be my career. That is when I started reading Vogue and discovered Holt Renfrew.

I've always been very aware of the way I look, but its only been the last year really that I've taken a real interest in fashion other than looking at magazines

Around 15... sophomore in high school. That's when I realized fashion was a tool for expressing individuality :flower:

Previous to that I was desperate to "fit the mold" from a fashion perspective :yuk:

i have liked fashion since i was a girl, and remember spending lunch money on fashion magazines instead- but i was never particularly fashionable

When i was about 14 and found a copy of Vogue someone had left on the train ... it was like i saw the light! it really inspired me and since then i've become addicted - to fashion and Vogue.
