Balenciaga S/S 2010 : Iselin, Lisanne, Mirte and Patricia by Steven Meisel

This is amazing! Very surreal and random. The colors of the clothes make this stand out among the dull campaigns this season. Cannot wait to see the rest!

Still waiting for more... Can't decide if I found this genious or hilarious...

oooooooh hell yeah!:mowhawk:
Goosebumps.

what the hell is that???:ninja:
bring jennifer connelly back

i completely agree. i need to shield my eyes for the horror of this cheaply created campaign image. i could've done this on photoshop. B)

The only word i can find to describe my feeling toward this ad is WEIRD.
i love this collection so much.

I love it. It reminds me very much of I&V's campaigns for Balenciaga in the early noughties. This still looks very Meisel, though.

My only complaints would be, one, that the girls look too airbrushed...this much airbrushing always ends up looking a little on the cheap side. And two, the grey background doesn't seem quite right.

Regardless, I love the casting, styling and composition of the ad. Can't wait to see more!

I like it even though it looks weird! Adore!

The simplicity really work in favor of the clothes. And I'm excited to see Patricia and Mirtie.

Well, the first impression isn't a good one. I can't even place my finger on why I don't like this, I just know that I don't. The whole thing just lacks a jolt for me. It's dull in concept and in execution. I can see doing this when you first learn how to play with Photoshop and decide to fool around, not when you have millions of dollars worth of budget and countless years of knowledge to do whatever you'd like with.

I'm thrilled to see Iselin and I like how graphic it looks but that's about it...

Did they really have to cast a bunch of nobody's to complement Iselin? :ninja:

yes,yes they did.
and she doesn't shine one bit which is a pity with someone of her superior skill. i was expecting more than the traditional balenciaga robot.

whoooa!
i love this! and this is the only campaign by meisel that i like this season [so far]

PS. i'd say they wanted to compliment mirte since iselin and patricia are kinda plain looking compared to her [even though i love iselin]

I absolutely love this! Personally, there's something fresh and modern that it exudes. Plus, i love that it's showcasing some of my favorite looks from the collection.

I'm quite ambivalent about this, on the one hand the casting is great and the clothes are beautifully showcased, on the other hand the layout is just distracting and poorly constructed. Hmm, I will have to see more.
