Balenciaga S/S 2010 : Iselin, Lisanne, Mirte and Patricia by Steven Meisel

Ridiculous collection, and even more ridiculous campaign! This looks like a joke! Well, I've heard that Meisel doesn't actually do anything by himself these days, so that explains the poor quality of his "work". This is something anyone could do by using simple photoshopping.

Yay for leaving Jennifer Connelly aside and choose an elite model group. I'm so glad they chose a minimal makeup/hairdo, different from the runway.

Nay for being such a boring, lack of substance campaign, though I like how Mirte is "wearing" the other girls like bags or dolls

Would be better with a more dynamic feel...

bad idea for an ad,but,at least,we can see the WOW factor, cant we?

I kind of like it. It's a fresh and totally unexpected ad for Balenciaga for me. Though the layout (a large figure in the back with smaller figures) kinda reminds me of the Angela Lindvall for Adidas by Stella McCartney ads from ss09.

It's not exactly flattering...but...somehow those clothes really strike me as amazing now. So something was right.

I love how borderline it is... and how flattering it is for the clothes at the end...

what is up with their freaking poses?? this
is the most awkward looking ad i've ever seen.

I think I know who's who, but who is the model in the

green/black:

yellow/white:

orange/teal:

Thanks.

I love the ad ! The concept may seem odd but it's definitely eye-catching and I love the colours ! I just love it.

Those were the only three outfits that I truly loved from that collection and they are being butchered somewhat thanks to this terrible ad campaign.

I was not really a fan of the runway show but the dresses here look wonderful as well in other editorials

It's a really terrible campaign. I'm sure there is some 'meaning' behind it, but it's visually displeasing. Those were the only three outfits that I really *loved* from the collection, too.

i hope the campaign takes another direction. that ad looked like someone's amateur photoshop project.

Pat looks beautiful. I like the campaign, its simple and have nice colors.
