Balenciaga S/S 2010 : Iselin, Lisanne, Mirte and Patricia by Steven Meisel

i can't bring myself to like this ad at all, none of the girls look good.the clothes are great however.

Watching the full set of this campaign I still think it's just okay. Not that bad. Quite simple and emphasized on clothes, which is good.

I think it's brilliant.
Clothing-wise he's done better, but I love the funky and simple look of the campaign.
Although I will say in some of those shots the expressions on the model's faces are pretty laughable; completely vacant and unnatural!

in this ads back the agency M/M Paris

why is Mirte outshining a legend such as Iselin in these
I like them...but I would much rather see more of Iselin than
Mirte even though she looks nice...
I just love Patricia in these

I prefer the shots where they're wearing dark clothes, but I'm definitely not keen on the collage concept.

Love it! Amazing campaign! Patricia looks amazing! Mirte doesn't look all that good.

After seeing the whole campaign, I really dislike it. Some of them are completely cluttering. It hurts your eyes seeing who's arm is on over who's leg etc. etc. Complete mess.

This is the best campaign of the season, definitely. I f*cking adore it!
Probably my favorite campaign of Meisel, ever.

:woot: Now I officially love this campaign! Love the hoodie shot so much! Though Iselin should have been the other huge one instead of Lisanne.

Me too !! I was hoping there would be a shot with the hoodies and there it is ! Perfect !
I love this campaign so much !

Why is everyone commenting that the photoshopping is done badly? It's not like you can see eraser smudges or anything. When a leg goes over another leg it looks pretty good to me and not like a sloppy mess. It's the fact that sometimes an arm goes over the other model but then the leg goes under it which makes it look confusing, but I am pretty sure that was the intention. And seeing one big horizontal model and two smaller vertical models looks like simple photoshopping and collaging, but it doesn't mean that they did an awful job with photoshop, or am I missing anything here?

^ Well, take the eyewear shot for example - her face has clearly been photoshopped onto the background - it looks like someone's cut out her face with a pair of scissors and glued it on. But that's not the point - it's just unnecessary..

i feel like these are characters on a video game and they are waiting for you to choose them..the stance and the facial expressions scream Tekken or Dead or Alive

Don't you think it was intended? For me all the things like one hand over another, the fact some models are put horizontally and others vertically, one of them is bigger than others, it all suggest that "cutting with a pair of scissors and gluing it on" was done fully delibaretely.

Oh so Lisanne appears after all  Why use her for only one shot? It's like Jourdan for cK last season all over again  As I said in my previous post though, the faces of Patricia, Mirte and Iselin really compliment each other very well and Lisanne's is so much more different, that she doesn't fit as well as I'd like her to...ah well, still nice to see her.
yep Lisane is a bit out of place among the other three. Maybe that why they only used her in one visual.
