Burberry Prorsum F/W 09.10 by Mario Testino

Burberry needs a change of photographer. Every season, regardless of how genius the collection is, Testino seems to make the clothes look mundane. Seeing Burberry campaigns is a completely underwhelming experience for me.

This is a failed concept for me. Whilst I don't necessarily hate Emma, I find her for Burberry a little perplexing. Emma is too young for this, especially given the aesthetic of this particular collection.

I thought the whole idea of the collection was "going back to [Burberry's] roots". Hence, I expected a casting tied to Burberry's heritage ie. Karen Elson, Kate Moss, Stella Tennant etc etc.

i think she looks good! has anyone figured out who the unknown model is?

I feel like the clothes are a tad old for her.. or maybe I just want variety. All the photos are of her wearing a trench coat. I want to see some dresses.

I didn't recognise Emma a first, but she does look really good. I think it's a bit boring though

The first photograph is excellent but the rest is..........meh!

She looks pretty but totally bland - I just don't think she has 'it'..

I love Emma and she looks great here! I'm seriously loving this

I can't be excited by Testino fro Burberry anymore. But it looks okay.

Well Emma looks really nice but these are nothing to shout about:rolleyes:
Testino is right now just not worth the money he is being paid:shock: Most of his campaign work lately is a let-down on every level and I'm usually a fan of his work.:(
Saying that this is a damn sight better than last season's drab 'greenhouse' effect look that he went for.

I don't mind it. Emma looks pretty and she fits in to the campaign quite well, at least it doesn't look so much like a 'celebrity' ad campaign I think.

Looks great, better than this season's campaign and any other boring campaigns seasons back.

TOO MANY TRENCH COATS !!!
it's unbearable ! i don't like that.

though guess that makes sense with the very "basics-on-the-runway-ready-to-sell" collection.

i don't understand why emma watson is there. yes she is english and i guess embody the young english bourgeoisie, but are the teens really a target for burberry ? though, imo, kids are the ones who keep on wasting money - even in the recession context, they don't care ! - i'm not so sure they are the person to appeal to.

just : who is this guy (center) on the first image ?
