I like the classic looks and the tights. Tights have been making a comeback...thank you Gossip girl for making them cool again. LOL

I like it! Very lovely pieces and the whole look (hair and make-up) is very natural and pretty, and I like the presentation/setting itself. Karl did very well this season imo (Fendi, Chanel, Lagrefeld).

but i'm not feeling this at all. especially the olsen looks

Ok, so as usual I hate the set. Chanel sets have become so, so cheesy.

I like the styling of this though, or rather the understyling of it all. Chanel RTW is almost always overstyled, covered in too much jewelry, too many pieces, too much with the hair....

It's nice to see things a bit more toned down in that dept.

I actually like a lot of this but I definitely know what you mean. It's kind of pathetic how desperate Karl is to keep a "youthful" vibe. The Olsen look you referred to, the ankle purse, the headbands ( for lack of a better word, from the cruise collection in Santa Monica ), it's all so ridiculous looking. The man can make some gorgeous dresses though.

Wow I love it. The dresses in particular are so young but incredibly beautiful, and the shoes ! Needless to say the setting is amazing and how I'd envision my dream amusement park, full of giant Chanel bags and what have you.

i don't like the 2 last looks on post #68, they look so out of place, and i'm not sure about the plastic suits, the 1st one is a bit too much. but overall this collection looks so good!! i love those bicolor thights!

I agree I have read up a lot on Chanel so I recognise the refences Karl likes to make and use but this ...this seems like the setting is a distraction and the use of such clear recognisable chanel icons it's like it lends some life to a collection that whilst nice is just that ...just nice nothing else. The youth target is so obvious now as well , the resort , the stars and stripes ss , the pre-fall amy winehouse...the short lengths used for haute couture..and now this collection , very young fille.

I preferred pre-fall. Much preferred.

Not at all! I would think they would make an average leg look good and a slim leg look fantastic!!
