i'm not too worried. she's probably going with what she thinks other people might wear and is probably just trying it out. plus it comes off a little like 'testing the waters' outfit. i did that on my first day at work. but instead of wearing the skirt and the tight i think nice black pants would have done the trick a whole lot better.
also the way the media portray her as some stupid blonde constantly drinking and being crazy, i'm not surprised she showed up looking like this. like 'see i'm can be serious too.' or 'i take this job seriously' kinda of going against what peoples perception might be.
Chelsy seems like a smart girl and knows what's going on in the media.

I think this outfit is an improvement. At least she broke up the black a little bit. I still think the skirt could have been an inch shorter and that wouldn't make it look so ill fitted. The shoes are just horrible. I guess we'll see what she comes up with as the days go by. I still think she could dress a little younger and it wouldn't change the fact that she is a smart girl who cares about her job.

She is not trying to dress like Kate. That is so funny. Chelsy is an individual. She is not pathetic like Kate. She is simply dressing in a way which is appropriate.

I like this outfit much better because it fits well. I also like the red sweater, it's nice to see her break up the black a bit and it's festive. It's not a fantastic outfit but it's a major improvement. I think she's on the right track.

I love her getting dressed up for work like this. She looks good. Except I wish she wouldn't wear so much black!

Same here -- I've never found her style cute but thought she was a cute girl, now it seems all that sun is catching up with her. Her face looks awful.
 
Sun, late nights, alcohol, cigarettes ... she's going to age quickly, isn't she?

She must have a fabulous huge collection of coats. I'm envious!

Prince Harry has suffered a huge blow - his girlfriend Chelsy Davy wants to move back to South Africa.

Chelsy, 23, (left) has told Harry she is homesick and intends to quit Britain at the end of her degree course next year.

Her decision is a shock for Army officer Harry, 24, (right) who had thought she was happy and would settle with him in London.

Chelsy is studying law successfully at Leeds University and appears to enjoy the social scene in London.

A Royal source said: "Harry knew she was missing her family and friends in South Africa but didn't realise how much. He was shocked when she told him she does not see herself staying."

Harry, who has been with Chelsy for four years, is about to start training to be a pilot with the Army Air Corps.

The source added: "Chelsy is also worried she will be left alone in England while Harry is away training."

I haven't like a single work outfit so far. She doesn't have a clue on how to do sleek (she mistakes professional for dowdy) and I seriously suspect those shoes are from Primark.
 
^ hahaha yeah me too the only one I sort of liked was the pants suits with the red sweater. But you're right, she looks dowdy, like I was trying to say before she can look sophisticated but chic at the same time. She hasn't captured that yet, she's captured "librarian" though.

Imagine if she dressed "trashy" or you know, mini skirts etc? how would the royal family like that? lol shes in a lose lose situation.. She wears clothes the royal family will approve of but that no one else reallys likes..
 
^^since when you have to be dowdy to be appropriate? Was Diana trashy? Was CBK trashy? Is Queen Rania of Jordan trashy? It's really not hard to wear a smart, elegant pant-suit, trenches or well cut skirts. Her clothes don't even fit her.
I actually think, considering the firms she currently work for are very high-flying, that she doesn't look expensive enough: you would think she was the secretary at best, not a possible lawyer. She should invest in a smart, warm Chanel jacket (she can afford it), some Italian leather pumps that don't look made of plastic and some preppy but youthful work wear from Stella, Burberry, Ralf Lauren or any upmarket high-street brand.

The styling at Net-a-porter is pretty rubbish but to give you an idea of what kind of items I am talking about:
