They had better be kidding with that photo.....for two reasons.

One, I have absolutely no desire to see anything pre-show as it ruins any and all surprises and two, it looks like a craft project with makeup from the Chinese Opera collection, which I do not want a redux of.

Its very likely, plus the supermodels were used the FW05 HC show, which was the show for the 100th year of Dior, or something like that

Christian Dior's July 2 couture show is shaping up to be a blockbuster. First came the news that the models have been asked to arrive at the venue—a little place called Versailles—eight hours before showtime. Now we hear that none other than Naomi, Christy, Linda, and Kate will be walking the runway. Holy hoo-ha! I knew there were gonna be supers at this show! And Kate Her first show since 2003 I believe? I had a feeling that Gisele might've popped in as well, but apparantly not...

This better be good...because I have never been more rubbed up for a Dior show like this in my life

Why the supers? Yes they were/are great but doing shows today? Chanel ss 05 rtw and Dior fw05 hc are enough. Having them sitting in the front row would be a lot more appropriate and appreciated. I can't believe it's 2007 and people havent yet moved on. I know it might well be a retrospective collection but what we need is something now and new. And we have so many new girls around who could be as great as the supermodels as long as we want them to be.

I agree, but I guess because the whole point of the show is to celebrate 60 years of couture, they are going to use old faces who have a connection with couture rather than new girls who wont add extra attention to the show.

The supermodels add extra press I guess, and its not going to be them only, so there could be new girls too

Oh no...I don't understand the obsession with supermodels. They're done, and hopefully they've moved on a little. (Well, not Kate, of course. Sadly she's probably going to be in fashion for years to come.)
