Ooh the stained glass backdrop.

go John!!!

when he's good, he's so good...

I'm in love with this collection! Very beautiful gowns, soft colors, matching make-up and hair. So good!
And John looks fab :-)

I can't wait to see this collection in HQ :woot:
Morgane's dress is great. It reminds of that gorgeous dress that Georgina wore last HC season.

But I have to say, some pieces reminded me a little of Marchesa.

i'm getting bored of seeing always the same images ............
so right now ... beautiful but same old same old scene ....
the beautiful relecture of one part of our society ......
Dutch XVIIth this time ?! nice ...... I like this period in Netherlands ....

i don't know what to say, but everything there is just soo beautiful, from the background setting/details/shoes/make up.

This is all beautifully crafted but he isn't taking the house to a new place with this. His references are getting repetitive.

Does Dior really need to go anywhere new right now? Sometimes sheer beauty is fine for a few seasons.

Can Someone Please Please Post Catwalking Pics As Soon As They Are Available, Too?

I like this more than I expected. A lot less bedazzled pieces, and I like the play with prints. Even the bedazzled pieces are not as over the top as usual. The shapes are lovely too, I love the swirling lines of the fabric and that white dress with the china print on the underside.

The only thing I really could live without are the belts, they seem so typical Galliano. Besides that, it really is lovely.

Much, much better than last season, or the season before that, or the season before that. I like that Galliano is moving away basing collections entirely on luxury, if that makes any sense. His last collection seemed like he was just trying to show how luxurious the clothes were rather than how beautiful or inspired they were...

It's beautiful, the details are stunning and it's certainly a bit more interesting than Dior has been, but let's face it, these are the same shapes we've been seeing, just done in different colors with different embroideries and a different reference as the starting point.

Even the reference point, Dutch Masters and Baroque painting is something he's touched on a few times in the last 4 years. But the thing with these recent Dior collections that's so disappointing is that Galliano just isn't doing anything interesting with his references anymore. He doesn't blend a bunch of disparate elements together to get an amazingly creative end result, and that really was what made John so incredible.
