I posted a few items I purchased this season in my blog if anyone would like to see :) I haven't updated it all yet, though. a few Dior Homme items, and some more to come (not all from this season, though - just purchased now)

also, if you all could take a look at the Gucci coat I have on there... I bought it, but I'm not sure if I should return it or not.. I just think I might be able to find something at Dior Homme, etc. that might be better.. I'm not sure!

Chris, how much does that bag run? I've seen it at Dior NYC in the past so it's definitely a piece that they get in every once in a while... could be worth the money!

Albert, I'll be finding out the exact price tomorrow. there might be a chance it will be sold at a sale price due to the amount of time it was in the store. I'll find out tomorrow :D

Looks like that gorgeous leather jacket from Red is on yahoo japan!
:woot:
I wish it was a 50:cry: . The price is (relatively) reasonable too for Dior leather

Haha, yeah please let me know. As for the sale price, Dior luggage is carried over season to season so it never goes on sale unfortunately.

well this bag is one they had on display, and then held it in the back for quite a while. they said there might be something that can do with the price, so I'm hoping :D

 I don't really give a sh*t about Hedi. I just like Dior Homme clothes. If they continue to look like Dior Homme clothes, I don't care who's designing them.

Love those sneakers, Eddie.

Don't even know where to begin comprehending such a stupid comment! Then again no point trying getting some sense into shallow people! I rest my case!

The only person that I *could* blame as being shallow would be you... Alex simply said that he solely cares about the clothes not the designer as a person, which I think is perfectly fine since the clothes are only good as long as they can stand for themselves. It´s much more honest in my eyes to simply say, I care for the clothes and not the blabla around it because ultimately, that person likes it because of the actual product, not the Pete-Doherty-whatsoever-f*cked-up-singer which were the muse of the collection or whatever else influenced Mr. Slimane to do a certain collection. It´s nice if there is a little more to tell about the clothes or the universe of a designer, but it ultimately doesn´t sell the clothes if they are not good by themselves... Just have a look at Givenchy womenswear, it´s funny that it´s in-house design team did MUCH better than Julien McDonald. Who knows if Hedi did the best pieces by himself and not one of his certainly very talented assistants (from which three of them have already started their own careers, if I think of Martijn Bal, Nicolas Andreas Taralis and Kris Van Assche)?

^ They obviously have not seen Dior Homme before Hedi took charge

That´s NOT true, it´s not that I haven´t seen the collection before Hedi Slimane took over the reigns at Dior Homme, but it´s fact that the creativity is by far no longer at the height where it once was... nobody EVER thought about Dior Homme as a brand for jeans, cheap printed sweatshirts and trainers some years ago when Hedi just unveiled his first few collections, now it has become as terribly commercial as with John Galliano.

I approve Hedi Slimane for what he started at Dior, but his most recent outings definitely cannot catch up with the high, and arguably very elitist level of his earlier shows. These and his late collections at Saint Laurent were indeed magical, but what he does now simply is "another league" as I can put it politely :innocent:...

Fair enuff if you care for the clothes and not care for who it was inspired by if the clothes is nice enuff but isn't that ironic that you like the clothes that is inspired by that someone who you dislike and you are willing to dress like him? And the reason Givenchy did so badly under Julein was because he decide what looks good and what is not assuming he make the final decision!

This is like saying you should't drop Kate because she is still has a pretty face eventhough what had happen to her!

'Who knows if Hedi did the best pieces by himself and not one of his certainly very talented assistants' - Aren't you being cynical? it is like 'hmmmm...i wonder if YSL actually design all the clothes even though he said so...

You would be right if I simply followed the look of the show again and again... gladly I am in the position where I can chose from several designers that I like and appreciate, it´s not solely Dior Homme and even then, it wouldn´t mean that the way I´d dress in the collection would ultimately make me look like a Pete Doherty lookalike...

You should also realise that Hedi Slimane as the creative director of a label as Dior Homme doesn´t design the range in it´s entirety all by himself... he has got several people under his belt doing branches like leather goods, footwear and others... and even within the ateliers, it´s not like the assistants don´t have the chance to contribute something... being a creative director doesn´t solely mean you design clothes, it´s rather like being the chancellor... you give the direction but you might not execute it all by yourself... that´s what separates a designer from a label, and Dior definitely falls in the latter category... it would have been a different thing if Hedi designed under his own name, not as part of any of the conglomerates.
