why are dior homme fans so posessive?
i can understand after the fuss over luster but its now just a standard fashion brand...
i don't feel posessive, i just hate robbie williams. the thought of him wearing something that i like makes my skin crawl.

anyone from here happen to be shopping on the womens 5th floor at barneys yesterday? wearing the SS 05 leather jacket with banded cuffs and waist and the gray sparkle jeans? just curious, whenever i see someone wearing dior homme im like "i wonder if hes on tfs or dh msn"

yeah i have the exact same syndrome, only happens when I'm in New York, however...if i'm in Hong Kong and see some kid wearing DH (esp. with some out of place Junya Watanabe t-shirt or whatever), i don't think he's on TFS, I just think he reads a lot of Men's Non-No/Milk/East Touch.

Ok, I just swung by H&M. I went there to pick up some socks and I found a pretty good copy of the leather jacket that everyone hates there..except in my opinion it is much better in terms of weight and value. I mean, it was 120.00..so I had to pick it up. I also found a VOTC freddy kruger shirt lookalike.

And i don't know if anyone has posted about this, but the issue of Another Man with Kate moss in Dior homme is out. I picked it up, but the spread isn't as exciting as I thought it would be. The clothes weren't fitted to her, so they were baggy and it just seemed like she got lost in Peter Doherty's closet.

c'mon guys~ there's so many guys rockin' DH in NY (excluding Japanese) who have no clue what tFS stands for..., for an instance, Parsons is a great place to look for Dior gentlemen. I went there the other day to return a 1 year overdue book and I've seen at least 5 ppl wearing at least one garment from AW05 ...in one day! i remember it was all about, either Raf or BAPE back in the days at Parsons. lol. also around my neighborhood, LES, guys are decked out from top to bottom during the weekends (it's ridiculous).

Nice finds... definitely saved some money ^_^

Everyone makes those red/black striped shirts nowadays.. i think i saw a Rykiel Homme version the other day... they are kinda cool! :flower:

Yeah i think FtB mentioned Kate Moss in Another Man... too bad i'm not able to get hold of this... would be lovely to see her in DH

Could you do a magazine scan? ^_^

Yep, this is exactly why a Dior Homme store on Upper East Side is an oxymoron. It should've been opened in Soho somewhere, or the meatsmelling district...

Hehe...I got them both except it is still bloody warm in UK to wear that jacket. Paid £69.90 for that.

no one was saying that if you wore dior homme you had to be a tfs member. its just a natural inclanation to think tfs if you see dior homme in public.

Yeah I think you have an even lower chance of seeing DH here in Ann Arbor, Michigan, than you do in certain parts of England or even Boston, as Chinorlz mentioned as being a DH wasteland. I was friggin *SHOCKED* when i saw some kid rockin the A/W 05-06 overdyes on the street, he wasn't wearing a DH look, quite the opposite actually, but it was quite refreshing. Although I'm sure if I lived in New York or Paris where DH was as common as Starbucks I'd get tired of the look pretty fast.

you've obviously got the wrong impression. i don't know about paris, but dior homme really isn't that big in new york. sure, in certain contexts you'll see a lot of people wearing it at the once.

there are about three starbucks on every block, definitely not three dior boys on each black. far from it.

yeah...it was an exaggeration, but just referring to how common place it seems to have become now. especially Jost's post about how everyone was wearing a "The End" t-shirt, even prepubescents walking with their parents...kinda turned me off. I think i'll be moving on from DH starting S/S 06, glad i didn't buy too much...

I remember people saying they were moving away from DH when VOTC came around, and look at how long this thread is. :p
