true...but i don't feel the excitement i had back then anymore. I was just getting into fashion round the time VotC came out and Dior had that 'mystique' to it...now that i have discovered it is so ubiquitous to the point of being obnoxious, time for me to jump ship. I can dig what Pharrell said about "escaping trends"
to elaborate...just viewing the past dozen or so pages in this thread, seeing comments about people on the street and what not...i have come to the conclusion that at this point it does not require much style or effort to pull off Dior Homme...it seems if one wants to duplicate the elegantly wasted indie rocker look all they gotta do is throw on The End tee, a leather jacket, some overdyes and DH converse style hi tops and they can be the example of a well dressed DH boy. Just seems kind of thoughtless...while clothes by the likes of Yohji, classic Comme and Issey, those really need the right personality and character to pull off, and just seems like it involves a deeper level of perception. Maybe that's just me, you guys can flame me all you want just my 2 cents.
