$1550 is double retail...so retail is like $775?! :shock: That's a very expensive shirt.
Not that bad considering that stupid $655 glitter face shirt on eLuxury. Compared to that, the bloodwound shirt is a steal. :rolleyes:

Sienna, DH makes women's sizes, which they just label with a P, for petite.

SiennaInLondon : Dior Homme-sque clothes.. you should go for Number (N)ine, Undercover or Lad Musician... or Cloak :D

Eww Dior Homme on Jude Law? So not right. Anyway supposing a girl (that would be me!) wants Dior Homme-esque clothes, what is her best bet? Getting the clothes in a small size? Buying from Ann D's women line? Just getting key non-designer items? The latter option will make me look like a parody of all those Pete Doherty clones... I don't want that. I want something really androgynous.
I personally don't think jude looks that bad in Dior.

Anyways, as alex said, Dior makes Petite sizes. I just ordered a jacket for my gf in a Petite from japan, at 32P! The seller was a male too and my gf is tiny, I just wonder how this guy must look.

The Dior NYC store seems to sell out of the petites they get in all the time as well. one time the SA told me they just got some in and by the time I got there to check it out some women came in a snatched up most of the smaller sizes and the only jackets left were too big for my gf :(

I don't know if they make the entire collection in Petites, it seems they tend to only really make the blazers.

And thansk Bartholomew, I still can't decide! I might just end up getting both, during the sale of course :smile:

Definitely Nicolas Andreas Taralis, apart from Dior Homme´s own petite taille range. I don´t think anybody else is doing that androgynous, skinny clothes for girls these days, and you won´t EVER look like a silly Pete clone.

:shock: Wow, I didn't know it went down THAT small. I think 38P was the smallest I'd heard of before now.

i just got the measurements from the guy and its an inch larger than my gfs (32 chest)..so would that make it a 32P? it was hard communicating with him (he was using those online translators) but to think the guy is basically an inch larger than my gf is kinda scary lol.

Ummmm, I´m a 32 inch chest... :unsure:

... but the again, girls have some breast... :rolleyes:

petites dont go down to a euro 32...lol thats like a 10 yr old kids size, as far as i remember earlier this season they had 38 and 40p blazers and a whole bunch of shirts that didnt really fly out, i went in there like a couple months later and it was still there.

Mouko it would not make a 32P. It would be a approx 40P.
Yes 32p would be lol :smile:

oh ok! he had several coats in 44p and 40p but that confused me, I thought they were normal sizes even though they had the P on them. I assumed the number would be smaller. so that's why I asked for the measurements.
How does the conversion work?

kol lover those are the black whiskered jeans. I had that issue of GQ, so based on the date, those were the VotC (A/W 04-05) reissue...the ones out right now look nothing like that so i think your best bet is ebay.

ok thanks man, are all dior homme the same kinda fit? or different?

How does the conversion work?

You divide the measured inches by 2 then multiply by 2.5 (actually 2.54).
So for 32 inches it would be 32/2= 16 * 2.54
But then again Dior sizes are smaller than other labels so the actual size for a 32 inch chest might as well be 42p (it could theorethically very well also be 44p in rare cases) depending on the model and season, and how it is supposed to "fit" on you.

Simply take 10 off the European size to attain the size in inches for chest;

T.46 = 36"
T.44 = 34"

and so forth..

There is 'overlapping', ie, T.44 as well as T.44P, generally Petite sizes have been scaled to accomodate a womens frame, thus narrower shoulders and usually shorter in length when it comes to jackets.

The smallest i've seen is a T.38P (equivalent of a 28" chest, and slimmer still taking into account DH's cut!) smoking jacket in Selfridges a couple of weeks ago, it was absolutely tiny.

Jost, out of curiousity how tall are you? I've got to agree on the Taralis recommendation as i absolutely love his work, too. :flower: (Those in London can check his pieces out at The Pineal Eye).

Those jeans fit baggier in the thighs and looser in the waist than average Dior Homme jeans, even for the 21 cm 'regular leg' cut i find they're looser...same w/ the blue version of that jean.

For women who want the Dior Homme look, I definitely second Jost's Nicolas Andreas Taralis suggestion...very dark and androgynous indeed. Undercover makes fantastic women's clothes that also incorporate those dark, moody 'dungeon' elements that still maintain a very sexy, edgy feminine look. Not so sure about Number (N)ine, i think that's a bit too hard edged in a more masculine way for women...Cloak is an interesting choice, I think I remember faust mentioning how a girl wore a Cloak knit jacket pretty well once, would love to see that in person.

Well, it looks like they fit him pretty well in the waist, butt, etc., so you'd probably want to go at least one size down. I could go down two sizes in them. Rather annoying. I wish they'd just make this model smaller so you could just buy your size and not have the waist like three inches too big. Yeah, they're supposed to sit low, but I think it looks like crap buying your actual size in these.

Hey, I just wanted to show you guys my auction for DH jeans on ebay. I'm selling them because I have too much black in my closet and I need to buy more color, so I'm going to buy blue raw/washed ones with the money.

Anyway, I just wanted to ask the DH know it alls in here (and I know there are some :D) if all the info was correct. Thx

looks fine, arturo...sorry to hear you have to part with them.

But as soon as you get the money, you're back on the market for all the hot classic jeans from Follow Me/Luster/Strip :woot:

yeah...i hate the inconsistency of waist sizing. I've yet to find a pair of DH jeans that fit me perfect in the waist AND the legs at the same time.

Actually I've noticed that on a lot of interviews/photo shoots with celebrities wearing DH jeans, they all seem slightly loose in the waist...(see: Bon Jovi in latest INTERVIEW mag, even that Jude Law pic it there's some give where he's holding his hand inside the front waist) and they're always worn without a belt. For some reason I don't really recommend doing this as they stretch too fast and get uncomfortable/too low a la hedi at that NYC gig this summer. :ninja:
