Chris that was just a tee with the boy silhouette on it. They did a bunch of versions including a black silhouette on white tee/tank and white silhouette on black tee/tank as well. I believe there were even long sleeved versions too. I don't think they initially did very well in stores during Follow Me as I recall lots and lots of them on ebay back then.

As for the boots, they have them at Barney's and they're pretty nice I must say. Come sales time, the price may just be reasonable enough for me to pick up!

MUCH better than the other footwear this season in my opinion.

Albert, thanks for the info! yeah, I picked it up at a good price a while ago. I love the shirt, and it's nice being able to get it at a cheap price online :p

I love the way the boots look.. I wish there was a place selling them here so I could see if they go on sale! I don't know about paying the full price on them

Thanks a lot for the help guys! I suppose paying the prices of some of these items, it's really best to touch / feel / try on some of this stuff in person. Always not easy to do, but certainly the way to go.

Thanks again!

I was checking out those boots as well. But I can't pay $600+ on a pair based solely on one pic. You'd think they'd throw up a few different angles or something.

Another question I've been meaning to ask is about belt sizing. I'm pretty much a 31 waist in Dior jeans and was wondering what size belt with the most leeway I should be looking for? I ask because I'm really digging the runway studded belt on eLuxury right now. Do any of the usual NYC places stock a wide array of belts? I remember somebody here buying the brown studded one they had awhile back and commented on how much better the quality was compared to the previous season.

Chris,

Albert pretty much summed it up ;) Though my 2 cents would be that i actually really liked the 'Dior Homme Boy' silhouette print on the tops from F.Me/SS03. It just came across to me as something that was rather simple yet special. In my opinion it heavily resembles the print advertisement for the DH AL13 sunglasses, i think it was Tiago Gass who modelled that.

The boots caught my eye as well but like many of you i'm evaluating whether i would want to pay full price. I prefer black but i think they were listed as brown though? DH footwear i actually rarely take note of as i'm quite particular with shoes. Anyhow, previous pieces that did catch my eye include the white grommeted high-top sneakers from Strip, the signature lace up Derby shoes and a pair of police boots from Boys Don't Cry.

Trendy Andy,

That's a very special jacket indeed. If i recall correctly it was the final piece shown on the runway for Luster. However, to what it resembles, i much prefer the shawl collared smoking jacket from SS03 (the one Jost/Tricotineacetat has a soft spot for too, i believe! ^_^)

90 will fit approx the middle hole. Or 95 if you want to use one of the first holes. Also Keep in mind that the belt should be a little loose,so pick your choice carefully :)

Hello Doo888,

That piece of Dior Homme garment in the Taiwan Yahoo Auction is unbelievablly chic that I never see anything like that offered in Los Angeles. Perhaps in NYC or Boston, they may offer such a bundle of selection. I went to a few places in the LA area that carried Dior Homme collection and they usually offer the very simplistic style that consumers usually would dare to wear . I have never seen anyone who actually wore the Napolean jacket (bomber style or 3/4 length) in public around the Los Angeles vicinity. Majority if the people seem very reserved as if they are subjected to, otherwise deemed to be prejudged :ninja:. Most of my Dior Homme collection are the suits, 3/4 length coats, sunglasses, leather blazers, dress shirt, and slacks.

If anyone is offering that jacket in size 52, dont hesitate to give me a holla :woot:~!! Lol Its a Long shot but I had to ask .....

I must share this with my new fashionistic fellas. I have been holding for this picture for a very long time. This particular style is my favorite blazer designed by Hedi Slimane. The one I want looks identical to this one except it is made for men rather than for a women, and it is a one button instead of the 2 button (exactly like the pink one from 2 seasons ago). That is the only leather blazer I regret not being able to purchase it (lack of funds). I missed the opportunity and I now I resent letting that slip away *sigh*. Anyone feel like getting rid of this blazer, you know where to find me lol~! I have the cash in hand on my finger on the PayPal button :innocent:.

I started collecting Dior Homme as soon as Hedi left YSL Rive Gauche and became the head creative designer for Dior Homme. I cant deny admitting I appreciate Tom Ford creative designs. Especially, his flared bottom slacks and his YSL Rive Gauche Collection, so I diversified my collections. This all started when I became obsessed with blazers/suits that have pointy shoulders with slim tailored torso appearance. I'm aware several European designers are on an uprise acquiring pointy shoulders with there pret-a-porter collections, (i.e. the movie "Alfie"). The British designer Ozwald Boateng who stunningly has displayed he can compete with the bigger fish. Casual wear was provided by Martin Margiela. Ever since Tom Ford step down and abandoned the fashion scene, Alexander Mcqueen has taken the liberty on designing magnificent formal/evening wear. For those who love Dior Homme, has anyone of you guys given Clarins Group "Thierry Mugler" black label a try? Their fitment is slightly similar to Dior Homme's measurement. I thought it doesn't hurt to ask and hear from you guys.

has anyone seen these boots in person? are they nice? all I have is a picture from eluxury..
Oh, that's my new shopping gift: theae boots are quite expensive but are absolutely gorgeous, I'm just wandering about me with those boots in a cold winter between Paris and Berlin, surely a MUST HAVE, think they work better if dirty and used, the leather is really comfortable and really Luster time with a little touch of Follow Me.... :p

Can any of you Dior Experts help me? The black raw japan jeans I bought off of ebay at $220 are from S/S 05. The seller stated the retail price is $459 - I called Dior NYC - they told me the price is actually $259 (or $295, cant remember) AND was told by Faust (that's pretty darn good proof :D). I thought they would be much more expensive than that, that's why I bought them. And I like them, very much.

Apart from that, the seller lied. And anyway, since there isn't a huge difference from retail price and the ebay price, I should definately do something about it. Is there anything I can do about this? Should I keep them or get a refund?

I know it was extremely foolish of me, the idiot seller's definately getting negative feedback.

It is you as a buyer who should do your homework before bidding. Anyways around 200-220usd the least the jeans go for. As long as you liked them, and saved a little money I don't see the problem. Remember "everybody" on Ebay is a liar :)

haha yea I should ahve done my homework. But apart from that, extending the price by $200 and also ripping me off with shipping price and not shipping until 6 days after I payed (yet stating that he would ship the day he received payment...). Dunno, maybe it's just me, but I have morals..I expect it of everyone. So..I never think anyone would ever rip me off, I always think "Nice guy". I'm gullible like that.

Well, sellers on ebay always lie about the retail price of items. I've learned my lesson and I'm never using ebay to buy clothing again. I don't think you should necessarily give the guy negative feedback if your jeans arrive and are in perfect condition. The raw denim jeans never go on sale anyway as they're carried from season to season...and the fact that the black ones you got are made in Japan is a decent deal, you saved yourself like $80. The ones selling at the Dior store now are like $260 and aren't Japanese made from what I hear. Don't worry about it! :flower:

You also might want to consider the fact that he may have bought from a store in japan (higher price) with a possible mark-up on the original price.

someone said on here before "he said the item costs $xxx" and faust replied with something like "of course he did, he's selling the item"

that's pretty much how it goes on eBay :p an item is sold for $250 in a store, a seller says it's worth $495...

while the buyer is supposed to do his/her homework on items before bidding - a seller is supposed to sell items with it's detail being true... but there's that big grey area for both sides :p

I think ebay is a great place to find items at a good price - you just have to be very careful, and never trust sellers..

the biggest mistake I made on ebay:
I won an auction, paid immediately. the seller lived out of country, and said the item might take 1 week to arrive... well, I waited, and the seller replied apologizing. after going in circles like this for a bit, I still believed the seller until it past was the 30 days and I couldn't get a refund and I stopped getting replies.. :p

I'm very cautious now about everything on ebay! :p

lets add these to my collection of dior homme, just bought um earlier today.

as far as the color is concerned, that confused me..... on the site they say in the description "black leather" and then in the description below that they say "brown leather"

I would want them in black!
