:o I wish I could be there!!! Dries Van Noten is one of my favorites right now...the quality and detail is always superb and while the prices are not cheap, they're definitely reasonable considering the pieces are so well made.

looking back at this collection...I think I like this one best....I am not sure about the extra voluminous skirts - they'd be quite hard to wear I think.

lucky you softgrey;)

I bought two pairs of chunky beads yesterday - a triple strand black short one & a single strand long black & white - to be worn together.

so do you think these skirts will be difficult?

difficult?...no...not really...i think i would wear some sort of heel with a fuller skirt for better balance and proprotion...so in that way...it does mean having to dress up a bit and make more effort...

but we like doing that anyway...don't we... ;) :D

my whit shirt and blk top that i ordered from the trunk show should be in by the end of this month or by march...yay!! :woot:

i was hoping my parents would bring me back some beautiful floral skirt from mexico...i had this image in my mind...but apparently they arent' sold in many places anymore and they couldn't find one...but they brought me a huge blk wrap with very bright floral embroidery and cross stitching...very frieda kalo...

i think that will look good with this folkloric vibe i'm feeling for spring... B) :flower:

I just saw the collection in Barneys. It's just like Lucky Charms, magically delicious :woot: . Saving pennies for Mrs. Faust. ^_^

And a long spring coat which I don't see on the runway pictures.

gorgeous! is it cotton?

Thank you. Yes, it's cotton. However, I only saw the bottom part of it (it was on a mannquen), so it might've been this.

I like the bodice of the first dress better I think. Its more interesting. but both are pretty lovely.

Me too, but I like the pattern in the bottom one better. Now I can't recall which one I saw, it all happened so fast :p

The S/S 05 collection was so beautiful- he has such a light touch with everything and I love how the colors and prints are arranged, it always ends up looking so harmonious.... never overkill or messy confusion.

I have a problem I need help with though! I can't seem to find a video clip of this collection online anywhere! (The clothes have such great movement, I'd love to see the collection in motion). I must not be looking in the right place? If anyone can help that would be great!

Agreed!

I'm absolutely salivating over a long Dries brocade trench coat at the moment. It's on hold for someone else at the moment, but if she declines...

Erm...how does one pronounce Dries van Noten?
