I've tried to do like you, purple, but me I don't have great brown eyes... grrr. And my blonde hair is not enough fair! Anyway... this is how it looked :p

You look beautiful :flower:You've done a great job with the make up and I actually think that your features are more delicate and sculptured than Edie's.

You heard me say "not necessarily", right? I put an element of doubt and caution in there. Long time hard core drug use is not good for your looks - there's no doubt about that. For a while it can look awesome, though, there's no doubt about that either.

Oh, so since you prefaced your quote with a "not necessarily," you think that adds caution?
"For a while it [drug usage] can look awesome,"
How many people do you know that just try drugs for "a while" - without getting addicted, caught up, etc...
If you know that many, then kudos to you.

I agree with whomever said that about Edie being handed everything and being on drugs and wasting money - but that's actually one of the things that make her so interesting.

No, I don't think it adds caution. I know it does because that is the meaning of that phrase.

Yes, I know some people who can use some drugs at parties without getting hooked. Big surprise. Does everyone become an alcoholic because they have a drink or two a week?

Wow, satinella, you should have tried out for the Edie role.
The bottom line is none of us knew Edie, so we really can't say whether she was a wasteful spoiled brat etc. We don't know what her life was like.
Her style is timeless and classic. Kate Moss seems to get a lot of her inspiration from Edie.

It makes me sad .:ninja:

It bugs me so much how Edie's in style now! Everyone is going to try to dress and be like her. Right now none of my friends know who she is, but i bet once Factory Girl comes out they'll all dress like her. AHHH!!

Yeah, it sads when such authentic and genuinely real styles get made into trends and turned into manufactured looks, like the "bohemian" style. People did dress that way becuase they liked it, it fit their lifestyle, etc.-- then it becomes mainstream and every girl and her mom are doing it. Though Edie style is harder to pull off (IMO), so you have a smaller risk.

I have a feeling when the movie comes out droves of people constanly talk about how "Edie" they are.

What is the site address for her live journal? Also, everyone invoking Edie looks great! Satinella, you remind me of Charlotte Casiraghi, who I think is so beautiful. You look so french; i love it!

Good job! You remind me a little bit of Blondie (Debbie Harry) - which is a great compliment.
