I wish we had the photos of Edie meeting Mick Jagger. There's one in her biography, but it isn't that great, and you can hardly see them in profile.

And how she cut and dyed her hair to look like him.I think she looked a lot better with her long brown hair like she had in Ciao Manhattan.
I agree, she looked beautiful and sexy.
I'd never seen this pic before it was posted - it's stunning!:woot:

I think it looks a billion times more appealing than this: :(

Although I do admire her style.

But that girl above has none of her spirit or persona...I don't know...she's too punk rocker for me. To be honest I wish we'd stop saying "oh Edie reminds me of this girl" and "I think this girl should play her" because no one will come close to her, and I think it's a waste of space on this thread...what is so intriguing about Edie is that she acted so hard but she was incredibly vulnerable, and as soon as she joined the Factory, I guess she was on self-destruct. Her clothes just added to all that.

Elizabeth Wurtzel wrote about her really well in her book "b*tch", maybe because Wurtzel was/is an addict/depressive, so she understood her and just "got" her. I'll try and copy out what she said about her some time, it's just a few paragraphs.

^ I would love if you could. I got that book and had barely started it when I left it on the train. I haven't got another copy yet.

Good post IP :flower:
and yes, please remember everyone, this is Edie's style thread not a casting thread for a movie about her ^_^
Stay on topic please!
Its discouraging for someone new wanting to read about Edie to come here and see its just pages of speculation on who could play her

Noone CAN be Edie and I am starting to remember that noone WILL EVER BE Edie.....this movie and ANY movie will NOT be made.Even her old factory friends will see to it and her family will not let her name be used.Has anyone ever seen a picture of Edie in a barn/shed with Bob Dylan?I saw it once and never again in a book I found in New York and I could die now because I didn't buy it-it was an old book about Bob Dylan. The picture was in black and white and from afar as they were hiding out alone. So romantic looking........

Really? I wanna see that!! The only picture i've seen of them together is that one that was in the original Blonde On Blonde album sleeve where Edie must have been wearing a black wig, and no one knows for sure it's her....I hope someone finds that picture you're talking about!!
