Did anyone every see Igby Goes down? I saw it last night and the character of Rachel is clearly supposed to be based on Edie, at least her look is, completely. I couldn't believe it when I was watching it, such a cool movie...
Yeah I've seen it and the Rachel's character is based on Edie. It's such a great film and I think Rachel pulls off the Edie look quite well
Jessica Alba is nothing but a really pretty girl. She cannot do or be anything else. I think she is a terrible actrees and has aboslutely NOTHING on Miss Edie.....but she is beautiful.

Amanda Peet in "Igby Goes Down"!!!.....Whoever did the costuming/styiling for that movie did a hell of a job....a good modern day Edie style....i'm sorry but in my opinion, jennifer garner is scary lookalike to edie. it should have been her, hands down. im not sure if she was small enough, but in this one picture of edie, she looked... IDENTICAL to jennifer garner. i actually thought it was her. but, i thought sienna did a great job.

I think that Jennifer Garner only looks like Edie does in that one picture, the one where she's holding a drink and has that weird necklace on. But only because they both have the same dimples. I think Jennifer Garner has a more sharp face while Edie's features were more round and child like.

Anyway I agree with babydoll, about Jennifer Garner, but as I see it it's impossible to be Edie or look like her...it's not like Kirsten Dunst is the exact copy of Marie Antoinette..
It means that Jessica Alba does not compare to Edie.
When I see an actress with cute dimples I am often reminded of Edie. But I cannot think of an actress/model that looks exactly like her or has that special thing that Edie had. Edie would shine thru the camera even when it was blurry!

OMG please everyone don´t be angry at me...but I can´t believe people still talk about who would have been the better Edie...the film is made and we can´t change it.
I agree, this subject has been up soooo many times, and it´s so old and boring now.
btw, who, in their right mind, would buy this?? horrible picture!

^^seriously that´s horrible, they would even try to sell Edie toilettpaper if they had it! How stupid.

Fairyx i was just on ebay and saw that picture and was thinking the same thing. People are weird! And i hate how every picture of Edie on ebay says "rare" when they're not rare at all!
