so... i watched CIAO! MANHATTAN and i think its awesome, but weird and my english is not so good either so i have 3 questions on the film and i would be very thankfull if somebody could answer them...

whos that dr.vadacio and what does his role ad to the film? (cocaine they stole, massage at spa.
whats with edie at the end when u see her getting electro shocks? was she killed or???
whats with butch at the end of the film, and what is this microwave stuff about?

everything else i got right i guess... the fotage of her is just amazing... thanks so much

I haven't seen it in a while so i may be off a little but there was a doctor in New York in the sixties who gave people Vitamin B12 shots which would give them boosts of energy and they filmed Edie going there. Towards the end of her life Edie was getting electro shocks and they filmed her having one, she didn't die from them but later Butch sees the newspaper in the car and it says Edie died. At the end Butch meets the guy Edie had been talking so much about and since he says he doesn't remember Edie Butch thinks that she made it all up but the guy is really part of a group of "saucer people" who spy on everyone with cameras and he doesn't want Butch to talk to him so he says he doesn't remember her.

I may be off on some of it because i haven't seen it for over a year so someone should correct what i got wrong...

I love all those youtube video clips thanks for posting! Edie was such an original. I loved the way Sienna portrayed her in the film, it's just the scrip I didn't like very much

I have Cioa manhattan on my old vhs tape. I need to get the DVD. Does anyone know if the dvd has extras?

I have no idea..but I think Edie was listed as one of the actors in that movie

Edie was supposed to be in Chelsea Girls, but that was around the time when she left the Factory, so her scenes are cut out from the movie.

I would love to see Lupe but the one that would be amazing isThe Andy Warhol Story.....the one with just Rene Ricard and Edie......I know it is suppose to be crazy and that Rene and Edie both take turns playing Andy and showing how horrible and manipulative he was.......and they both get abusive and angry and a big mess.....

That one's in the Warhol museum vault along with all the other Edie masterpieces that we may never see. I read online the museum gives private viewings if you are doing research or something.....I would write a thesis on Edie just to get to see the movies!!!!
