Hollywood is just going IT-GIRL CRAZY-now I've heard Katie Holmes is set to play Ms.Edie in a movie,go figure.I think none of these movies will be made because absolutely NOONE CAN PLAY Edie,yes!She's THAT special.And they just keep throwing names out there like they have always done.I don't even think the Sienna movie will be done,we'll see.
Back on topic---Edie looked her best to me with her lighter hair,but that last shot in Caio where she walks to the camera is so breathtaking and beautiful,hauntingly sad and gorgeous....whoosh.I guess people are so taken with her because she really looked like a doll brought to life.I've stayed at the Chelsea and Stanley Bard was very disturbed acting when I brought up her name,he'd talk about any other resident but her-even Sid and Nancy.Whoever hasn't read her book should and you should also read any other factory books you can find to clearly get a sense of who she was.

I'm depressed now, I can't seem to find her biography. The library has one, but it's in Spanish, and unfortunately I can't understand it.Bookshops don't sell it, they either don't even know it or then it's sold out, and they're not ordering more.If I'd just have more money I could order it from Amazon. I actually found a cheap copy from eBay, but surprise surprise, they ship it only to cities in US.

any ideas where I could get it?

Implants

I recently saw Ciao! Manhattan and I must say that I was quite shocked that Edie has her breasts exposed more than half of the film. Also, I was surprised that she had breast implants. There is a section of the film where they show her topless photos in an earlier timeframe and she is completely flat chested and they actually mention it in the film and she says that they grew because she started eating and exercising, but obviously they were fake. Anyone else find that odd?

well, of course it was odd that was b/c she was sort of out of her head on drugs when filming and she went and got implants. they put that line in to "explain" her "growth spurt"...she died right after filming this...

I really hope they will not make a film about it.I don't want her to be so "mainstream". it's nicer now when she isn't a big phenomenom.
maybe if someone would do an indie film about her,with an "unknown" actress, that'd be great. too much publicity would spoil the whole thing.

very true, but by the time this movie comes out (if it even ever does) most people here will be onto the next thing. don't worry, we'll have a year or two to enjoy edie before she's co-opted by the masses!
