Shes so great! Her and Andy were deffinately the epitamy of the 60's... if only I could have my own 'factory' one day...

there is a "Factory Girl" editorial in elle girl usa magazine about edie and her style...and how you can achieve "her look"...maybe im wrong, but i dont think it will be long until 90% of the girls will be running around with chandelier earrings, heave eyemakeup, and the like 
but anyways...i love edie! hehe

I love the picture on page 28 with the big hat that frames her face, and she's looking straight at the camera with her gigantic eyes.
Did any of you notice that there's an Edie in the movie 'The Doors' (with Val Kilmer) - it's in the scene when the Doors go to the Factory. Edie is not directly presented in the movie, but there is a glimpse of 'her' dancing around and someone calling her name. Then 'Andy Warhol' talks about a telephone that Edie gave him, and you can talk to God on the other end, according to Edie... Has anyone any idea if she really did give Andy a telephone like that, or is it just something they put into the script to make it all extra trippy?? Just curious really.. B)

The thing that made me mad about that movie was the way they portrayed Andy and Nico. First of all, they made Nico looks like a cheap sl*t and whoever wrote her part obviously didn't do their research. Alos, when they did Andy it wasn't like him. They made him look so out of it and ignorant.

Mick Jagger and Edie Sedgwick Meet. Here is an excerpt out of Jean Stein's book:
Rene Ricard: "I was one of Edie's escorts that night the limousines pulled up to The Scene., where she met Mick Jagger. I was there, and you don't know how I felt, 17 years old. It was an extraordinary moment! Edie Segwick, the most famous girl in New York, and Mick Jagger, the most famous singer and the one everybody wanted to f*ck! And there he was. It was in front of the coat-check place that it happened. Mick Jagger was there and Edie was there, facing each other. She said, 'How do you do? I just love your records'. Well, what do you say? And he said, 'Oh, thank you'. Then, all of a sudden, there was an explosion of people and every corner of the Scene emptied into the tiny vestibule where were were standing. People were pushing and banging up against each other. The flashbulbs were blinding. Edie was able to get to the ladies' room, the poor thing!"

About the DOORS movie'
Edie is in it for about three seconds-dancing through...flirting with Jim.
Nico,as far as I've read in countless books was like Oliver Stone portrayed her,especially with Jim,her Soul Brother-she was sooo HOT for him....Nico was a very sexual woman,she used it and in the movie-she doesn't seem cheap.Now,the clothes that Nico wears in the movie-Nico would have never dressed that way-that's how Edie wouldve dressed-Nico was too cool and sleek-POWERFUL to wear something so contrived.Also,many books claim the Nico/Jim meeting sex scene happened at first meeting,so I guess those people would know.Andy in the movie is just that"WARHOL CHARCTERIZATION"always done-I guess only Warhol himself could really pull it off and not seem foolish!

I know this maybe isn't relevant, but why haven't there been any movies about just Andy? All these movies are being made about all these people he knew and made famous, but why won't anyone make a movie about just him? The guy is, to me, the most intriguing artist and persona to ever have existed in our time. I can't even list how many people he influenced or was influenced by that are just as known, if not more, as him.

^I agree but i think he would be impossible to portrait, he was so out there and unpredictable. But i think someone should make a documentary about him. But i think its too late cause a lot of the people he knew are dead....
