yeah... i have to agree. i had seen lots of pics of edie before, but only a week or so ago i saw some video footage- poor little rich girl and another video montage thing- and she just looked so beautiful. i loved poor little rich girl, coz u can hear her voice, but also appreciate all the expressions and emotions in her face, her childlike innocence mixed with sexuality.

her eyes were amazing in video, they tell so much aside from what shes actually saying.

I just scanned this from Grazia magazine, thought you might like it. I don't know if it's a well known pic or not. :)

And I've cropped it, just thought it would like nice. :)

I believe Sienna is starting to like Edie´s style...

Great thread indeed.

Ever seen the real life documentary of Edie's life? Very depressing. In the end she was even addicted to electro shocks which they used at the time very much to try to 'heal' people with huge depressions and other mental diseases. Edie did suffer a lot because of her depressions.

I'm very curious though what Sienna Miller, or better the director and scriptwriter will make of her..........

^Ciao! Manhattan. It's a movie but at the same time, the story really is Edie (even though her name is Susan in the movie itself). Edie had electroshock treatments more than 20 times in the last months of her life NOT counting the ones she had when she was younger. I'm not really sure why she got them. Either it was to control her drug use or more for her family which didn't approve of her lifestyle & choices. About Sienna playing Edie, I personally think she'll do a good job. She is doing alot of research and even though she's not a dead ringer for Edie, hopefully she'll capture some of Edie's charm. I don't think it matters if Sienna doesn't possess the same dark features Edie did. Since the movie is called "Factory Girl", I'm guessing that they'll focus on Edie's Factory days when she was "the icon of whiteness". I'd like to think they'll focus on ALL of her life but who knows? I think "FG" will be like the movie "Gia". It will create a bit of interest in Edie but it won't over commercialize her. Hopefully!

I just scanned this, from Grazia magazine. I know we've seen the pic before, but it's still nice! :)

Some actors go to extraordinary lengths in order to play a part with conviction.
Others just learn the lines and rock up to the set.
Sienna Miller has revealed that she's definitely a member of the method acting brigade after slapping paint over her boobs.
It's not some kinky thing between her and Jude Law, but rather all in the name of becoming her latest big screen character.
To get in training for her role as Edie Sedgwick in Factory Girl, Si has been painting large canvases - not with the help of paint brushes but with her knockers instead.
Evidently, sixties icon Sedgwick used to do just that.
And if you fancy seeing what sort of shape Sienna's boobs make on canvas, then get yourself a dinner invite to hers...
"I've got rooms covered in t*ts after going back to doing what I do best - getting naked," she cheekily revealed.

I just watched Ciao! Manhattan for the second time, and you know where she remembers going fast in a car with Paul America, talking about speed, and the voices sort of go in to eachother... anyway... that REALLY reminded me of that scene in Spun when Brittany Murphy and Jason Schwartzman are in the car, going to New York I think... and they´re talking about speed...

anyone else see what I mean?

Ugh...this is sooooo far from being right. (No offense to you fashionologie;)) The real person who did the breast paintings was/is Brigid Berlin (who is still alive and actually worked with Sienna to get down some Edie-isms). Those pics on the set were kind of a letdown but I'm guessing Sienna wasn't in full Edie hair/makeup. She's got the skinny part down pat though! I'm trying to convince myself that the only reason Sienna isn't looking at all like Edie is because I've only seen black & white and 60s color photos of Edie so seeing someone in 'real' life won't really compare to what she really looked like. I'm trying to be optimistic here.:D

Yeah, I still don't think she resembles Edie either...
And is anyone else having a real issue with these boots? They don't look like they're from that time at all, and instead look like cheap modern knock-offs... I hope Sienna's just wearing them around and they're not for filming. I feel the outfit there could have been better chosen as well... but maybe I'm being too critical...:innocent:

^ I am totally with you on that... and that dress is sooo boring! atleast from the front! and too long...

but I guess we jut have to wait and see... it might just become a good movie, maybe not like we would have wanted it to be...
they should have just done a movie inspired by Edies life, not a movie that is supposed to be about her life, there´s just too much!

Just want to say that Edie is beautiful, a true beauty and icon. I had never heard from her before and trust me I thank you all for the great job u've done here.

I can't wait to see the upcoming movie :)
