Edie did several screen tests. I don’t understand why you think this is a manipulated photo of Edie. Did you look at the book on amazon.com? It’s a real frame from a screen test of Edie.

The photo from screentests HAS makeup-that photo someone fixed WITHOUT makeup,Ive said enough about it so believe whatever suits you.

It's obviously a completely different screen test. Her hair is different, her shirt is different, and she's not wearing make up! It's real, just admit you are wrong and get on with it. Honestly....

This picture is real. I have seen it documented. It's on the cover of a book - what else do you need? It doesn't even look like it was fixed without makeup - she looks completely natural. She wore fake eyelashes over more fake eyelashes because she has been quoted saying she disliked the fact that hers were naturally so short. I'm not sure why it's so hard for you to believe, it's not like she looks horrible...

that picture of her looks real enough to me. she was beautiful with or without makeup.

Look,I love Edie-shes my favorite and has been for years....I dont like saying she looks bad anywhere, but I will believe what I believe.....I'm not mad or anything at all.I have alot of books on the factory-anything that includes Edie-

little tiny, in your books are there pictures of Edie that we havne't seen that you could scan. : D

Possibly, only maybe three or four that I havent seen on here or anywhere on the computer.....but I dont know how to scan-I know how to scan but not how to put it here,I dont even know how to put a picture on my avatar....
One picture thats great in particular is from an old Andy Warhol pop-up book.I'll try to look into learning how to do some things on the computer-I always feel as if Im left out-or missing out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Factory Girl is very Warhol in the way he though of fame and money.

Yes this is very true. When Edie died the first thing he asked was something like "I wonder if she left any money for me?". He was all about fame and money, it was his main motivation, that's why he loved Edie so much. She had money, he loved money.

On another note, I love everything about Edie in her factory girl days. I wish they're were more photos and films of her, even if she was junkie. She is so beautiful on film and it's a shame drugs overtook her life, I think she would of made a great actress. She reminds me of Audrey Hepurn, probably cos of the eyebrows. I hate saying who Edie looks like or reminds, but I truly think she does on this one.

:flower:

^Edie didn't like the way Andy used people. And this movie isn't about Andy it's about Edie. I may be very Warhol, but that's different than being Edie.So that's irrelevent.

now that was some of the most banal conversation ever. thanks for the link but i have to say i'm a bit baffled. fastforwarded most of it, i just don't get why Andy was there with them all the time? or why Gino was there when Edie & Andy were rambling on and on. how strange he was like this voyeur or something... why didn't Edie ask him to leave? so basically Andy's pastime was messing with people & pushing Edie's buttons? what was the purpose of that film? he seemed quietly resentful of her old money. I've never read much about Andy but he really comes across like a pretentious try-hard and self-important ***.

warhol's films were innovative in that nothing really happened in most of them; they were banal, prolonged, and based on ordinary things (there is one movie where he films the Empire State building for like, 24 hours or something), and that was his interpretation of life-- which tends to banal, prolonged and ordinary itself. it was mostly his upbringing that made him behave the way he does, though. he was terribly self-conscious and dirt *** poor.
but yeah, i know what you mean, he can come across as pretty pretentious most of the time. i hope this helped... sort of.

Thanks for the thoughts, Madison and welcome to tFS! Keep on posting!^_^

thank you, boomer!

i also forgot to ask, does anybody know who Edie's talking with off-screen? it definitely doesn't sound like Andy.

This is my favorite picture I've seen of her, thus far...
She seems so happy and beautiful, unlike all the stories and biographies that I've read of her.

^^they do look alike in some photos, but jen is 34 or 35, and edie was 28 when she died
