I haven't heard any buzz about any Gucci bags so I'd like to know which one W featured. I've seen a few (like the embossed cartoonish horsebit ones) and found them quite gross.

it's their new line...embossed leather bags. supposedly going to start around 700 dollars for bags...dark chocalate, cream, and light blue leathers. some have patent/alligator accents and will go for a lot more.

the new W with brad pitt and angelina jolie has a four page ad of the new line. can't wait...looks like it's a proper way to feature the double G...plus apparently it's near impossible to counterfeit.

anyways... sure its nearly impossible to copy, but who would wanna copy those bags? i really dislike them....not crazy about embossed leather + logo + stripes. but thats just me

^^^I feel the same way about the LV multicolore speedy. They're so easily replicated, but who would wanna copy those tacky things?? But thats just me.

yeah i saw some of the bags on the lastest W mag and i wasn't really impressed. but still, i want to see the whole new collection.

Thanks for the reply. Its the Guccisima I'd heard about. Interesting that they are promoting it as being uncounterfeitable(is that a real word?), thats very telling about the market these days. I'm not a fan of all the bells and whistles either but I'll try to reserve judgement till I see one.

they are korean celebs at gucci's guccisima launching event.
gucci probably gave them those bags for free.

i saw the new range today in selfridges, i was planning on getting one as a present for a friend. the purple hobo was £615 but the leather was of mediocre quality and won't stand up to more than a season or so. but it's a definate improvement on the canvas versions- which even the sales assistant claimed were horrible...

Guys thats exactly it!!!! omg! I love my bag and yes it was on sale. It (to me anyway) is a classic. My friend has the really big one with the top zipper and the green and red strip down the middle but $1000 is not even an option right now, bad enough $600. But I love my bag and thanks for thr positive feed back.
