Gucci F/W 08.09 : Lily, Kasia, Ksenia, Abbey Lee, Eniko by Inez & Vinoodh

It's not the womenswear everybody looks forward to, but I got a snapshot of the eyewear campaign, fronted by Lily:

i'm still kind of miffed that they replaced masha n with eniko...

I feel the same way I cannot understand their logic as Masha is totally suited to this collection and her appearance on their runway proved that.
Looking at the pic from the mens collection and the eyewear ad......you can get a feel for the theme of this campaign and again Masha is a perfect fit.

It appears to be rock-chick, gypsy feel in the outdoors and I think the other girls involved might pull this off, but for me Eniko dosen't fit.....but who knows when the ads actually appear I might have to back track.

I'm still crossing my fingers that Ksenia will blow this campaign this away...or that she'll still be in it. There's a rumor going around now that Ksenia was mistaken to be this campaign. Let's hope the rumor is false because Ksenia is amazing.

^^I agree! When I think of the ultimate Gucci girl I think of Masha. Eniko strikes me as....E.T But you're right I'll have to see the full set, before I can make a decision.

Ksenia is "fairly" new and I have yet to see how she'll dish out for Gucci. I think she'll be the best of the bunch.

Masha can look so rough at times. She's pretty, but sometimes she reminds me of a manlier Sasha.

I saw another ad today in In Style UK September 2008 (with Diane Krueger on the cover,) it was Lily carrying a purse in the main focus with a blurry girl in the background, virtually identical to the eyewear ad. Sorry I couldn't take a picture of it. The ad sucks anyways.



IMO Lily is too posh for Gucci; she just doesn't have the edge for this collection.
