Gucci S/S 10 Milan

I love everything except for the tribal prints used. The rest are good, at least they're better than any Frida's previous collection for Gucci.

First Gucci collection since Tom left that I have actually liked
I might have to head down to the Gucci on Sloane st. next spring...

Where is this Tom Ford bollocks everyone keeps talking about? I don't see anything from Tom Ford whatsoever. Did Frida REALLY think that by copying Tom's signature hair and makeup she was gonna somehow revive his work? Because she didn't and she can't. There's a big difference between her and Tom.
For all of you who had the guts to compare this to Tom Ford, think again. Tom Ford had vision. He didn't just make clothes, he created a whole attitude, an attitude that would give women their right to be seductive. He invented a personality that was so desirable and unforgivingly sexy it was just impossible for women to NOT want to be the Tom Ford woman.

This is just a silly-b*tch attempt to reinvent Tom Ford's work, and what a fiasco it is. Frida's basically feeding off Tom Ford's pre-cooked image and persona to create some sad rip-off version of it.

All she's done here is recycle trends from her previous work, added a couple of things here and there and she's off.

I'm glad Im not the only one seeing the Givenchy "influence" here, because it's everywhere, especially those bondage boots. This is what I love about Givenchy and Tisci; anybody who tries to employ Tisci's ideology in their clothes becomes so easily uncovered (as we already saw earlier in New York). Tisci just has that signature personality in his fashion. Frida doesn't.
She needs to come up with something she can be remembered for (if there is anything). She's ridiculously unoriginal and just living off Gucci's history-hype.

BUT Thats being said I don't think it's an ugly collection, in fact it's quite classy and probably flattering. The best thing to come out of Frida in ages, if not ever.

I like it, it´s a strong and sexy collection. The cuts are great, as well the details. You can see Tom Ford in this collection but i don´t thing that´s bad.

so much better than the last two seasons.
elegant, chic, strong and sexy, it reminds me of the Tom Ford works for Gucci.
but i don't know whether i really like it or not.

Much, much better than usual. There are some very nice pieces here. If it is derivative of Tom Ford's work I don't really care - as long as it's not the junk she likes to do.

It really is a lot better than the last S/S season. Those suits aren't my cup of a tea. But I liked the shoes! And this year they are even better!

I like the glamour shown in this collection, every woman would like to own a few pieces of these.

The way she has wholesale appropriated and ruined those lovely ikats really, really irritates me. I honestly think this designer has no idea what she is doing, but I lost respect for Gucci a long time ago anyway.

i hate everything what frida is doing, but i must say, thats really her best collection so far.
yep its the reminiscence on givenchy, and thats her only one most tom ford era`s looking collection. and finally she refused of 70s chic with all this floating dresses and crazy colors, i also like lots of grey-blue color and would be also nice to refuse of this mad print but, i have to say, that right now Frida pared down its quantity. but, i think actually too much of metallic furniture and mixture of different textile handles.
eitherway, i think what would be the beast-selling collection of all frida has ever done: its sexy, its very Bond-girl. though i wouldnt wear any of this piece.

i can't believe what i'm typing here but that collection is actually......*decent*

:ninja:

what da flying fudge is happening???

i don't all out love it, but i can look at it without shaking my head and wanting to scratch my eyes out, which is a huge step up.

Even though there's nothing original about it, it's a decent collection. Some pieces are nice.

I like the sporty spiderweb detail and the tight crossing boots ( might have to get my self a pair of those ) but other then that ?? I'am not to keen on the colour scheme:( your right nothing original here. Witch is a shame really because Gucci have had two really good seasons s/s 09 , a/w 09 .

There's some great bags in there. That's what stands out most to me from it, they grey one Vlada has in particular.
