r*pe is about control - controlling a person you find imperfect, threatening, fragile, etc. Those three boys were frightened of Ariana and perhaps a bit jealous of her magical powers. She was fragile as well so it all makes sense.
Harry and Luna are perfect. Ginny changed so drastically. As soon as she become beautiful, her personality was tainted with this flagrant dash of self-righteousness.
From books 1 - 5, I found her sweet and a bit bashful. She wasn't such a hothead. I always admired her for protecting and comforting Neville aswell. I just feel that Ginny and Harry were poorly matched in the end.

I went to see the 5th film last night and find the idea of Harry and Ginny even more repulsive, as in the next film they actually have to make out and Ginny looks so young, like 12 year old looking, and it will just be so strange.
I think Harry and Luna would make a great couple, she actually understands him better than anyone as they both have lost a parent, both are considered weird. But at the same time I think Neville and Luna are made for each other. I didn't really consider Harry's relationship possiblities as I expected him to die

No, I find it amusing too.
Especially now that I look closer, because the first time I saw it I thought it was Voldemort sitting on a chair with a REALLY fat hand. Only now do I realize that his hand was actually his head and it was his body lying at Harry's feet.

I find the heightened interest in the sex lives of the characters hilarious. Everyone seems to think that Snape died a virgin. That seems about right. His love for Lily border on an obsession of necrophilic kind. Voldemort, too, though he just screams asexual to me. Poor Bella.

I do like them together actually. They are different and both sort of awkward, in a way that fits...

.. editor of The Daily Prophet. She's got that "willing-to-do-whatever-for-a-story" air about her.
